We recently visited Agde and were pleasantly surprised. We originally walked down to the beach and missed the old town completely! The old town is full of history and tradition with its dark stone buildings, winding passageways and a scattering of bars, shops and restaurants....More

I have now stayed in Agde 3 times. I find it a delightful place. The riverside with it's restaurants and cathedral is superb. The historic centre with its ancient houses is fascinating. The coastal resorts of Grau d'Agde and Cap d'Agde are very close and...More

We spent 2 weeks in Agde for our Summer Holiday. I loved Agde, I love the fact that it is untouched and very French. It is ancient and very interesting, castle ramparts and volcanic rock buildings, interesting murals and big town houses with shutters and...More

Take a walk along the Canal du Midi, enjoy one of the many restaurants along the water or take the stairs up to the old village and enjoy the gorgeous buildings and tiny streets.

This is a very large marina village. Lots of water based activities. All night disco will stop you sleeping here! Good facilities for boaters (except sleep that is).

Agde is a great town near to the sea. A line of restaurants provide a good lunch stop, followed by a walk around the town

It is an Interesting old town founded 2600 years ago by the Ancient Greeks. The town is built of black basalt from a volcanic eruption. Come and wander in the old streets where there are many old and interesting buildings. Or if you prefer there...More

Vieux Agde is like stepping back in time and i'm surprised it is not used for film sets. The holiday season is quite short here and during our December visit it was almost deserted, with few restaurants open, and the windy, cobbled streets of the...More

We have traveled to many cities and towns in France and thoroughly enjoyed Agde, especially the old historic area. We were there mid week during lunch and ate at a wonderful little sidewalk cafe overlooking the river. The stroll through the cobbled streets was interesting...More
