Built in the traditional Dong style this Drum tower was built in 2010. It is amazing to see such a large structure still built without and Iron nails. Worth a quick visit if you are in Sanjiang but not worth a special trip.

If you are in Sanjiang city go visit the drum tower. It is one of the only tourist thing to see in the city.

The Drum Tower is indeed a pretty cool structure and fun to walk up, but they could do so much more with the space re: sharing the local history and culture. A missed opportunity. Still worth the effort.

I didnt know about this tower before travell to SanJiang. But when i entered it i was shocked. Such a great structure! I had only 20' after lunch, so make sure that u have more time to for exploring.
