The Lombardy Region officially recognised the Nature Reserve of Manerba del Garda ("Della Rocca, del Sasso e Parco Lacuale") with a regional resolution in April 2016. The park covers a territory of approximately 1,160,000 m2 (include meadows, woodland, trails, vineyards and olive groves), as well as 850,000 m2 of the lake itself. The Reserve was established to preserve and promote the ecosystem and landscape, historical and archeological sites, as well as to support such activities as education and understanding, preservation and divulgation of a unique environment, remarkable for both its history and biodiversity. The Valtenesi Archeological Museum within the Reserve is the information centre for visitor who wish to understand why throughout history humans have chosen to settle in this spectacular setting. The Reserve is always open to the public.

the area around manerba del garda is just beautiful. Every view is breathtaking with wonderful walks and boat trips. Plenty to see and do not to mention eat & drink. Will be returning very soon.

One of a kind panoramic and scenery viewpoint After a challenging but bearable walk your eyes get overwhelmed by the beauty of Garda lake panorama Best place to take pictures of the lake in the Garda lake area

Took the walk from Solarolo to the Rocca di Manerba. Was worth the walk as the scenery at the end is breath taking with views of the lake and mountains stretching as far as the eye can see. Nature at its best. Recommended

Had several walks into the area. Spectacular views from the Manerba Rock, and great trekking/running routes around the area. Easy accessable with car (with parking) and by bike or walking. Several spectacular view points arount the area. Just something you would not like to miss.

To find the Rocca di Manerba a navigator can help you much. The streets to this point are very small (some are one-way). Next to the Museum is parking space. From there you walk up a hardened steep road for 600m (only with wheelchair if...More

The park and the smallish museum are a great place to visit when you're tired of just lying on the lakefront catching sun. There are amazing views over the lake and you get a mini work-out climbing to the summit. Lots of archaeological stuff on...More

Spent some hours trekking around Parco Archeologico Rocca di Manerba in August 2016 - and it was a good experience. There are some great views around the different routes, which are very clearly marked with different colours so it is easy to find your way...More

Do you have children asking sand on the lake? You should come to Pisenze beach and let them enjoy the lake while you enjoy your time there.

Its short but heavy rise to the top. At least on a hot day, but it is definitely worth! I´m 61 years old and I'm not athletic. : )

Hello, Not too hard. Depending on the age of the kids, their condition and the weather. We have seen kids walking up from age of 9 years. Just don't hurry. Half of the road is hardened, part is stairs, part is ruins. Follow... More
