There a trail just off Main St. in Cong, you walk down the trail a bit and you come upon the Cave, There's steps to go down to get into the cave, their easy to manage, not a hugh cave but still interesting.

This is a 1.5 hour round trip walk from Ashford Castle (or the small village of Cong) called the Pigeon Hole Loop. It is through a beautiful forest, and well marked. Don't miss it!

Stumbled on this along a walk in Cong woods. What a surprise. very steep steps. Not suitable for very young children but a treat for the older children

It's a little bit of a hike from parking, but well worth the nice walk through beautiful trees, very quiet and peaceful. The cave has steps carved going down as well as a handrail. Even children would get a kick out of this!

Dark, quiet, shows very well, how powerful nature is. Stairs are very slippy, so be careful and wear proper footware.

This is an impressive spot to visit. Unfortunately there are now some cables dropped into the cavern which take away from it, particularly for those of us who knew it before, but it is still impressive, and a short, gentle forest walk makes it a...More
