It's easy to imagine the monks huddled in this small stone structure perched over the water on cold winter days, trying to catch the food for their dinner. Glad it is preserved for us to still appreciate in a lovely woodland setting.

Cong is an amazingly charming little town. We took the foot trail over to the fishing house and beyond into the forest.

Just opposite the small bridge, makes a nice feature with some history too, hopefully it will be preserved.

The river was a good spot to pause from other activities. This was a relaxing spot and enjoyed envisioning the monks fishing from this spot.

I don't remember seeing sign prohibiting fishing. I would check for appropriate licenses needed first.
