The falls are great. This is a must do list. You must be weary as certain areas require you to jump into the fall begining at 5m, then 10m and the best is the 20m jump. As for the 20m jump, you are required to pay a fee????

This was the highlight of my trip in Cebu. The canyon is absolutely gorgeous. Vertical walls covered in lush forest and blue clear waters. You'll also see some interesting stalactites and rock formations. The activity is SO MUCH FUN! I was happy about choosing Cyan because they are the only ones offering wetsuits and one guide every 4 people. Without wetsuit you'll freeze and risk bruises. They also make a video of you during the day.

Our canyoning trip with Cyan was by far the highlight of Moalboal - if not our whole Philippines trip! The staff was so professional, fun and made us feel very safe the whole time. This is also the only place that provides wetsuits which makes the trip much for comfortable as the water gets cold after a while.
You need to be reasonable fit to do this trip as there is a bit of hiking, rock climbing and light swimming.

These guys rock. I felt 100% safe all the time. At first when we rocked up in our wetsuits I felt a bit overdressed but during the tour I was very glad (ok and a little bit smug!) to have it! Our guides were patient when I needed it and encouraging all the time. No pressure to jump and everything was well explained. Not seen the photos yet but I am very excited and am site they will be fabulous just like the test of this tour and crew. Would definitely recommend and would love to go again :D

We took 2 tours with Cyan: whale sharks swimming and canyoning. It can be a bit more expensive than in other places, but totally worth it. Guides are amazing: very friendly and helpful. It was so much fun! Equipment is really good, much better than other groups had. Also, they really care about your safety. Real professionals! I would strongly advise everybody to take tours with them.

Hello, Levella,
thank you very much for your review.
The whale shark tour is not sold and organized by Cyan Adventures, but by our sister company Freediving Philippines.
Hope to see you again one day in Moalboal ....

This trip was so much fun from start to end! We were a family of four - 11 year old and 13 year old. Everything was fun and the guides were adventurous, but we always were safe as well.
There are options to choose from on the canyoning adventure - if one person wants to the highest jumps possible and the other does not - this works out easily.
Would highly recommend!

Leaping from 5-15m into stunningly blue water would be amazing on its own, but the guys at Cyan made the experience that much better. The wetsuits, booties, and lifejackets (with a nice little pouch for your own camera) were a fantastic touch. The guides (Junjun!) were all friendly and knowledgable, showing us where to jump each time. There are several spots to swim, jump, and simply take in the beautiful surroundings, culminating with Kawasan Falls. All in all, this is a can't miss experience with the best company in the town!

First and foremost, your safety is their priority.
They seem to be the only company which provide wet suits and I was glad as the water is a little cool and helps avoid getting cut by the rocks!
They are a little more expensive than the others but it's worth it. The pick up was on time, all the staff were very friendly, the lunch at the end was decent and they provided snacks on the way round. One of the guys take photos and video which you can get online afterwards - all included in the price.
The area is just stunningly beautiful, take some time to float and look at the scenery. Some of the jumps into the water do seem a little scary ranging from 5m to about 12m. If you really can't do it then they will help you walk down. Everyone in our group eventually did all the jumps. It's so exhilarating.
Highly recommended company and experience. Don't miss it if in Moalboal.

Absolute perfection. We did not bother checking other companies and just went straight for Cyan. Even there interior design of the shop, staff and professionalism from their staff was enough to persuade us these guys were the right choice. From the driver to the crew looking after us, they were all fantastic. They lent us (include in fare) wetsuits, bootsies, lifejackets and helmets for the trip. The transport to the canyon was also great. Our driver Dexter was great and 100% safe (You will know what I mean if you were in SE Asia, all drivers are maniacs on the road).
Another great thing was,, once you get to the canyon there will be alot of other tours there too and from looking at them, all they got was a lifejacket and helment, whereas we were fully kitted out and looked the part. I can only imagine the damage the canyon would cause without the bootsies and swimsuits provided by Cyan. As well as more steep and dangerous parts of the canyon, Cyan had the proper equipment (i.e. rope and safety gear) to help us cross these sections and all the other tours were also using them since their tours didnt seem to provide anything. For a person who cannot swim, jumping over 40ft into the water, I did not fear for my life not one second as the staff were all in hand to help if needed.
If you do not want to use up your cash for the tour, you can actually use their computer which can pay by paypal instead which was great for us. The crew that was with us also were all extremely helpful, funny and professional. Clark, Christian, Loreto, Jhamel, Rey, Letigio, Nestor and Driver Dexter - Thank you all for your professionalism and for making this my biggest highlight in the Philippines.

Cyan Adventures here. For Canyoneering, we go to Kawasan Falls. But we have a family tour where we bring you to 3 other waterfalls: Dao Waterfalls, Aguinid Falls, Inambakan Falls or other falls (depending on season, water level, ...)

hi I am staying at Cebu city. I want to know how much is total package for whaleshark and canyoneering? also, am afraid of heights. if I can't jump off the cliffs any other way I can continue the journey?

Cebu Island, Philippines67 contributions
Hello Martha, updated prices you find always on our website. Jumping is the fun part in the canyoneering. With our equipment and the help from our guides, nearly all guests overcome their fear of heights and are afterward proud of themselves. If you prefer more easy we recommend to do our Cebu South waterfall tour. No jumping there and amazing waterfalls and easy short hikes to the falls.

Our canyoning starts at 9am and finishes around 4 to 5pm.
For your question: Yes, that is possible. We also offer VIP tours where customers can choose other start time. In combination with choosing a slightly shorter route in the canyon, skipping lunch and not taking longer rests during the tour being back in Moalboal at around 12 should be possible.

I'd love to do the whale shark and canyoneering tour with my 11-year old. Is this possible?
OwnerFreeCyan
Cebu Island, Philippines67 contributions
Yes, you can.
The minimum age for Kawasan canyoning is 10 years.
We also have kids sizes for the shoes and for the wetsuits so he is perfectly equipped and does not get cold.

Is the trip available on December? If that so, how different compare to the peak season like March or April.
OwnerFreeCyan
Cebu Island, Philippines67 contributions
Hello Yuttana,
we have all Cyan Adventures year round and every day.
If you mean the weather then there is not much difference from December compared to March or April.
December which is considered rainy season has Amihan winds which come from NE.
So December has more rain on the east side of Cebu but less on the West where Moalboal and Cyan is located.
If you mean the amount of travelers then you have to know that December can be already same amount of guests like in March or April.
Many European and US travelers leave short before Christmas to escape the winter at home.
Feel free to email us if you have more questions.
Kind regards,
Wolfgang

Can a family with kids (5yrs) able to join?
OwnerFreeCyan
Cebu Island, Philippines67 contributions
Yes, we have to confirm that for Canyoning or our 3 Waterfall tour 5 years is too young.
But we also have Sardine Snorkeling and a Whaleshark experience tour which are ok for 5 years old.
No swimming skills are required since we use life vests for all tours and also the Snorkeling and Whaleshark tour.
