Back in December 2014 (tripadvisor didnt allow me to select an earlier date than 2016), I came to do a one day intro AIDA1 with Carlo to get a basic knowledge of freediving for my mermaid photo shoot in Oslob with Whalesharks, I made it comfortably to 12m depth, and that was when i decided it's a sport i could continue to train and explore

Thank you Wolfgang and Gadie for the detailed and frequent replies to my many many questions via email prior to my trip coming over, so helpful, patient and professional, as at that time is was also my first time to Cebu at that time

I took the AIDA3 course with Mikey. He's a wonderful instructor, very encouraging and calm. We went to a different place for each day of the course. The pool sessions were great to practice static apnea and dynamic. Open sessions with sardine runs were awesome! I highly recommend the course and Mikey!

Although the teacher was good, I would not recommend this school, all they are interested in is your money! No welcome, no goodbye, no feedback.
Lack of organisation, expensive and ols wetsuits to rent!
If you look for a cheerful experience , don't go there

Thank you Emmanuel for your review. All reviews are important to us to become better. We are having a hard time understanding and learning from most of your criticism. Freediving, similar to Yoga, is in most parts a quiet journey inward. Maybe this is why your expectation of a “cheerful experience” was not fulfilled? Before the course our instructor exchanged several emails with you to coordinate logistics and give you the necessary documents and theory material required for adequate preparation. In these emails you seemed happy about the pre-course support. The day before your course our instructor welcomed you personally and discussed with you in more detail what to expect in the days to come. Weather and the ocean can be rough in the Philippines in January. This requires flexibility (lack of organization?) from staff and customers. As a result we drove you - for free - the second course day to Tongo bay which has much less waves and was much better for your training! After the course the instructor again sat with you and the other student for the final debriefing. He gave you resources for additional knowledge and training, as well as explaining how to register and pay for your certification card with AIDA (we don't earn any peso there). We are happy to say we have already new wetsuits for all students! Again, we appreciate your feedback and hope you will continue to enjoy the sport of freediving.

My husband and I did the freediving AIDA2 course and we loved it! Everything was arranged very well, Drew was a great instructor (flexible to give us some more information about topics that actually weren't in the course, very motivational way of teaching and clear instructions), which made the whole course a very good experience. My husband was already into freediving, but I was a bit hesitant to dive so deep without air. But in the course you go step-by-step and now I'm even enthusiastic to try freediving again! Unfortunately we weren't able to complete the course because of equalization problems, but again Drew was very professional in giving us advice about this. So thanks a lot and we'd recommend Freediving Philippines to everyone!!

Drew Herric is the best instructor I'd ever met .Not only he is pecialized in the freediving field but also in his teaching altitude. He like to research and experiment. If you have any problem in learning, he can always find methods to revolve it.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I signed up for the AIDA2 course thinking why not challenge myself a little and I am so glad I did. I'm way chuffed for choosing Freediving-Philippines.

Staffs at Freediving-Philippines are real friendly and helpful. They sorted out my accommodation at ivvones apartelle and also my airport transports efficiently with no issue at all. The accommodation they recommended is comfortable and very clean. As for the transport, it was prompt. Can't fault it.

The highlight is of coz the AIDA 2 course itself. I am very lucky to have Jérôme as my instructor. His calm and confidence attribute helped me greatly during the course. He is generous with his own personal time too! Teaching me how to equalize correctly the evening before my course even started.

I am one of those demanding students who has great difficulty equalizing. Thanks to Jérôme's great patience and willingness to work overtime, teaching me all the possible ways to equalize with the Frenzel technique, I succeeded. Thanks Jérôme for making me a certified freediver!

All in all an excellent experience. Jérôme is very professional and knowledgable, if you are looking to give freediving a go, do look for him! Highly recommended. Big thanks to everyone at freediving-Philippines. Thank you!

Had a really good time while taking AIDA 2 course at Freediving Philippines! I already had a bit knowledge about it before hand, at least that's what I thought, but it's all good now as I learned a lot during the course! The instructor Jerome was really good - a great teacher with a lot of knowledge and a good person to hang around just in general. During the course I had expressed my desire to freedive with at the sardine run and after the course was finished Jerome took his personal time to buddy up with me so I could fun freedive with the sardines which was much appreciated! Highly recommended if you're looking for a professional freediving shop and crew. Thanks for a good time Jerome.

I signed us up for the AIDA 2 course through Free-diving Philippines in Moalboal for my wife’s birthday. I wasn’t too excited, I feel more comfortable with a SCUBA tank strapped to my back, but she has always wanted to free-dive so I signed us up. I’m glad I did! It was a lot of work but very rewarding in the end. You push yourself to your limits, which to be honest really are NOT your limits…I learned the body is so much stronger than the mind. We learned a lot about safety and different techniques. When you see people free-diving on the internet it looks so easy…it’s not. There is a lot to think about if you want to do it efficiently while at the same time thinking about nothing to try and completely relax. Trust me, it will make sense during the course. Our instructors Jerome and Kristoff are amazing. I was not able to pass the requirements on our 2nd day, both guys woke up early and Kristoff did a private session coaching me and building up my confidence until I passed the 2 minute breath hold. When we finished we caught up with the rest of the group to continue with day 3. Kristoff has the patience of Mother Teresa and the heart of Mahatma Gandhi. I’ll never forget our session…I am forever grateful. Even if you are not interested in free diving, this is a great course to take with friends. You will learn safety techniques that will benefit you SCUBA diving or even just snorkeling. In my research Free-diving Philppines showed up as the most reputable…and I was right. They are good at what they do. You better hurry and sign up soon, I believe both Jerome and Kristoff head back to France or on to the next sunny destination to continue their work.

Hello Bloo26, guilty as charged. Our webshop was not updated with the new price which includes now also full insurance for the motorbikes. Our secretaries have to strictly follow procedures so the blame is all on me. Prices are now updated so it can not happen again. Sorry for that. Regards, Wolfgang
