Located on the outskirts of Nan city, this Wat offers an outstanding view of the city, but unless you are a devout Buddhist, there is little here to arrest your interest.

Great murals on a historic location in the centre of Nan. A must see in Northern Thailand. Some wall paintings are famous for the Thai people, as Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa is for the Europeans visiting Paris.

The major pagoda is beautiful. The scatter building and sala around the area are also worth a visit. Make sure that you dress properly in the temple, otherwise you can borrow sarong that provided before entering to the main building.

It's located on the small mountain around 3 km from down town I recommend you to hire or rent a bicycle to ride. This temple was the biggest pagoda in Nan, 700 years ago with Suthothai architecture styles. Beautiful !

Probably the oldest structure of the Wat is the gilded chedi, that was built around 1355. The 55 meter high slender chedi named Phra That Chae Haeng enshrines a relic of the Buddha as well as silver and gold votive tablets. The spiral shaped chedi...More

Impressive golden chedi 55 metres high with elephant decorations at the bottom. It was interesting to see the young monks on their way to lunch.

I did not expect much, but was taken by the atmosphere, the feeling of serious dedication from the people walking around the stupa. I had to join, and it ended like very good walking meditation. Thanks for the Holy Water!
