This small museum focuses on the local history (Nan was pretty important and remained a partially independent kingdom until 1931). The museum is centrally located and admission is free - there is thus no reason not to go.

The upper floor was under renovation but the lower floor gave an interesting history of the area although in Thai language. Our guide did translate for us.. Also a family tree of Thailand rulers.

Very short visit as most rooms were closed and so the only exhibition was a few photographs of the Thai Royal family and family tree.

Just around half of hour I had visited this place, but I was very impressed. You must see the black ivory, the legend of Nan city, inside this museum.

The door was open but there was virtually nothing inside EXCPT black ivory, which was kinda cool. All signs in Thai. A few interesting historical photos. Second level closed.
