Emmanuel was our tour guide. So knowledgeable, personable and spoke perfect English. For all of my fellow 'Grape Nuts' and 'Cork Dorks' out there, Emmanuel was incredible...AND the WINE...SPECTACULAR! Cannot wait to go back next year!

We organised a tour/ tasting through the tourist bureau and made our own way there. The tour was interesting and focused more on the area and the terroir rather than the standard ‘this is how we make wine’. The young gentleman was very affable and...More

Emmanuel was very knowledgeable and helpful. We covered the soil to bottle process and led us through a tasting tour of the immediate region. I recommend the most expensive tasting option as it allows one to see the small differences between vintage, climat, and appellation.

We visited the Chateau on Sept 8th. Emmanuel was a wonderful guide and very funny. His explanation of the region, the soils, and the vinification process was great. He took his time to explain (in French and in English) the nuances of the different wines...More

Although not one of the older Caves, this tour and tasting was great. Our guide Emmanuel was really knowledgeable and explained everything in terms we all could understand. Not being a wine person ( except to drink it ) I really enjoyed it. Just long...More

Very nice informative guide explaining the region, the soil types and basics of wine making. Our guide Katerina was very informative and gracious. For the novice it is an excellent introduction to wines. The tasting provided a basic understanding of the progression from ordinary to...More

We had a very informative tour with Pierre-Etienne, who taught us a lot about the regional vineyards and wine making. We're not connaisseurs, but came away with a better appreciation for wine tasting. The Chateau de Marsannay winery is close to the northern end of...More

Fee between 14 and 22 EUR depending on how many glasses you will try. The advantage to pay a tasting fee is that you don't have any pressure to buy wine...
