Every hour, the giant puppeter comes alive and gives us a part of the Ardennaise legend of the Four Aymon Sons. It's told in French mind you. On 9pm, the whole legend is told. Just on the left of the Giant Puppeter is a small...More

Charleville-Mezieres is famous for its marionnet, I took a look at this place, it looks like a watch but if you get closer you'll see a feet. The gate automatically open every hour and you see a show of the puppet

Otherwise it guarantees "oh, is that all". Once but never again. Automated puppets, which seem a bit dated, and a voice over in French

We sat at 3pm eagerly awaiting some sombre baroque masterpiece watching the large bronze head look side to side.... Then, well, an anti climax "Oh that's it then?" If you are passing but don't make a trip

The display isn't long by any means but it is still quite an impressive clock and certainly adds a bit of charm and fun to the day - definitely worth a look if your already in the area. There are puppet shows throughout the day...More

An interesting clock with marionettes and figures that change scenes each time it chimes, waiting around for the "big event" when they emerge and chime is a little anti-climactic but midly amusing enough.

Great show on a small street close to the center. The "show" lasts only for few minutes, but is a delight for the eyes and a the mind.

We waited about twenty minutes for the "show" to start, a very dis-appointing effort, we have seen similar shows in various other European cities/towns and they all out perform this one

This is a very special clock, designed to surprise children and grown ups. Next to the Musée de l’Ardenne, the giant puppeteer tells you story every 60 minutes, while the puppets go with it. Very original!
