I noticed on google reviews that some people moan about the 6 euro parking. We come from a small English coastal resort with a large unspoilt beach that charges for parking. However, at plage de l'Espiguette, what you get for your 6 euros is:
Clean beach. Very beautiful scenery.
One restaurant, bar where you can also rent pedalos and paddle boards. Bicycle path to the beach. There is a free public toilet at the entrance of the beach but no showers. Lots of litter bins!

Beautiful long beach which I guess apart from in very high season never gets very crowded. We were there in June so the sea was a bit cold and it was a bit windy but would recommend for relative wellness but close to town
