If you can’t make it to Paris to see the original, this small museum in northern France is well worth a visit. The permanent collection features a variety of pieces spanning different cultures and different eras. Kids will love the audio guide that has them...More

Went to visit the Loyvre-Lens museum after hearing many local people speak highly of it. I can understand that if you live locally and do not have access to other museums this must be a great place to visit. However... It really isn't worth the...More

The Louvre - Lens is a must visit for the extraordinary setting, the fabulous architecture and the museum organisation based on the time line. We were a group of architects, culture tourists and engineers from the US, France, China and loved the experience. We also...More

Wasnt sure what to expect, the parking appeared to be for the restaurant so i just parked on the street, entry was free but you still need a ticket, most exhibits are Roman and Egyptian with the rest being European Medieval. I felt the museum...More

We visited the Louvre Lens this Sunday morning and enjoyed it. Directions to the museum are easy however the roads and villages leading to it do not do it justice. The parking is big enough and limited to cars under 2m in height. You will...More

We had wanted to visit this for some years and we were not disappointed. The building is amazing, very grand and spacious and there is a good collection of items available to view, everything from Egyptian artifacts to paintings.

The timeline-based historic exhibition is very good, and free to enter. Sadly the other gallery was closed when we were there. The special exhibition on the history of music was also very interesting.

Making good use of industrial waste land, and reminding visitors of this past, the museum is modern, clean and free of one simply visits the permanent collection. Much less crowded than the Louvre in Paris though with fewer real star pieces, the museum none the...More

We had high expectations, as it is called Petit Louvre. There were several nice pieces of art (El Greco, Raphael, etc). But somehow it was eclectic. Music and instruments in art looked it was set up for experts in this field. Fro outside the building...More

It's still free, until the end of 2017 at least. Delightful; there's just enough on display to let you look closely at every exhibit. Arranged in a timeline from ancient Rome, Egypt, Greece etc to about 100 years ago.

If you drive down Rue Paul Bert westwards past the Musee there is a parking area on the left hand side of the road. There is a huge parking area around the Stade Bollaert-Delelis but this entails a longer walk. There are... More
