We stopped here for one night. Visiting the castle, having a walk in the woods, enjoying the sunset in the castles precincts. Well worth a visit! Vanners: enjoy nature, keep it tidy!

I think they have been re-building this longer than the building was up. It makes it quite a charming experience. The view of the hotel from the castle is nice, looks like a great terrace... Be careful, its not for the faint-hearted. As some of...More

This is very early example of the use of a moat. From that point of view alone it is worth a visit. Mostly well preserved and you do get good access.

Stayed here with our group in June, 2016. The vista of the hotel is amazing, set next to the ruins of the old castle, which you can also explore. Had dinner here also with the group which was good, but the hotel itself and the...More

We were staying on the grounds at the Chateau de Fere hotel and explored the ruins at night and again in the morning. It's very impressive and I'd recommend a visit.
