This chateau has commanding views west towards the forest of St Germain and east acros the Seine towards Paris. The garden is not being looked after and there is work going on outside, so concentrate on the interior. This would be a good wet day...More

Visited this beautiful house a short bike ride from where we were camping , access to different areas was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed it, the small gift shop was good and staff were lovely.

I can't stop thinking about the chateau of Maisons-Laffitte since my visit two weeks ago. The design of the home is unusual and overwhelmingly beautiful, with sculpture and bas-relief everywhere you look. I went on an overcast day, which added to the beauty and mystery...More

What a huge disappointment! The building was in reconstruction but the website neglected to mention it. The grounds were overgrown and filled with windblown garbage. The only other visitors were a disappointed Chinese couple who likewise had travelled to see a Marsart masterpiece.

The chateau was undergoing renovations in May 2017 so we didn't go inside. As you can see from the photo it's an attractive looking chateau and is worth a visit if you are staying nearby.

There is a lot of renovation going on but still worth a visit if in the area. Very well done rooms. Lots of stairs. With a car you can eat at Creperie la Bonne Humeur.

Honestly, nothing exciting about the Maisons-Laffitte chateau but lovely just the same. Nice place for a quick tour after a day of shopping and eating along the main thoroughfare.

The gardens and the castle itself are quite huge and amazing looking. I live in Maisons-Laffitte, the castle is undergoing some renovation so unfortunately you can't see parts of the façade...
