Humpback whales, Orca's, Spermwhales and Finnwhales are frequently close to Andenes. We went there to visit the Spermwhales in a RIB. We were so exited because of the boattrip as the whales aswell. After a 30 minute boattrip the captain found the whales and we went to them. And it was so special to see these big friendly animals in real life. There was a group of 5 Spermwhales and one of them was so curious about the boat that he came to us. We really had the chance to see the Spermwhales very well and we made great pictures! Close to the harbour we visited a group of seals who where resting on a little island. Although not as impressive as the whales they where very cute (and much bigger then I thought) We were in Andenes in March and we will come back in januari when the Humpbackwhales and the Orca's are back!!!

What can I say about this - it was a great experience in nice speed-boat. I was doing similar whale watching in Iceland couple of years ago, and I can say that this one was great as well. Worthy for people who hate large crowds....More

We went in a whale safari. They provide you with all necessary equipment. We got a good explanation about the sperm whale and the puffin. The ride on the ribboat is an adventure boy itself. Fantastic! We were lucky enough to see one whale twice....More

Fantastic experience! Exciting ride on a RIB boat in a water repellant thermo-flotation suit and life jacket with no worries about getting cold or wet! Experienced guides, very knowledgeable about the wildlife. We saw gannets, puffins, skua, white-tailed sea eagles, razorbills, kittiwakes, black guillemots, cormorants,...More

Stunning experience. Extremely well organised and equipped. Felt safe and well informed at all times. Relaxed but professional guiding..... and the receptionist/soup lady was sublime! You will never experience anything deeper or more beautiful than a whale up close. Day to remember. Bucket list ticked!

You can have bird watching trips or whale safaris at this place. They use the quick RIB boats to get you out there. We did the midnight bird watching trip which runs from 22 to 24 in the midsummer nights. We had a very good...More
