A well-known Shakti Peeths of Hindu religion, Naini Devi Temple is a sacred place. The temple is located atop the Naina hillock near the Naini Lake. Goddess Naini Devi is the diety of Naini Devi Temple and located at the shore of Nainital Lake. There are many shops in close proximity to the Naina Devi Temple from where one can buy the prasad and pooja items. We visited the temple in evening and witnessed the sandhay puja and aarti, which was blissful. Several devotes were present in the temple to take blessing of Maa Naina Devi. The environment was peaceful. The view of Naini lake and surrounding in the late evening / night under illumination was beautiful.

Naina devi temple is at the bank of Naini lake to north side called Mallital.
Those who are visiting Nainital, can visit this historical temple.
It is not big and not small either and has a good lake view point.
Approx 1.5 km from main tallital bus stand (south of Naini lake.)

The temple is located next to the Nainital Lake. Shoes & slippers can be kept near the entry point to the temple. The main deity is Goddess Naina Devi and also there is a Hanuman temple in the temple premises. Just outside the temple shops for prasads, eateries and other items are available. Serene and calm place. An early morning visit is recommended.

Naina Devi is a Historic Temple on the bank of Naini Lake. A good spiritual experience amidst your fun trip. Must visit event if you are not a religious person. The market outside this temple provides vast range of products from woolen clothing to decorative items, from toys to candles etc. Govt. of Uttarakhand should consider revamping this temple into an appropriately constructed monument.

i will be reaching nainital at 10.00 am on 27 sept and will leave on 29 Sept at 3.00 pm from kathgodam suggest itinerary during the period for nainital. is it possible to include mukteshwar?
Written September 4, 2017
1st thing is to visit Bhim taal and naukchi taal , do paragliding and other water sports, After that you can get a hotel in nanital city mall road(better to book with parking if you have car or take mcd parking). Visit nada devi temple in evening and spend some night time near lake.
Next day you can go to mukteshwar or ranikhet and spend some great time there going to mukteshwar dham some great activities nearby. Also if you wanna spend some peacfull time i would suggest club taurus of Mukteshawar . It would be great in this weather. Mukteswar would me much better and less crowded then nanitaal.
