One would only visit Dipolog or Mandonoa If you had a reason eg. wedding etc. No tourism organised. Can see the sights of Dipolog in one day. Not pleasant walking around the town as many roads and footpaths are dug up. Main form of transport is Tuk Tuks which are fine. They are extremely limited as to where they can take you. Difficult to travel outside city area into country. Tourists would not be attracted to products in shops.

I notice the reviews about Dipolog are all from Filipino people so all positive reviews. I was there a week ago as a tourist from England. It's a busy city. The beach is not nice, black sand and not for sunbathing on. Yes there are a lot of police about because it is a dangerous place with many snatchers and thieves. There's nothing here for a tourist except danger of being robbed when the police are not around. Boring place really. The boulevard has one bar and that's it. I wouldn't bother going here at all

Been to Dipolog and stayed at D' Hotel and Suites. Very good location close to everything, shops and church. It's very safe and secured, more so with the recently declared martial law in Mindanao which is an isolated case to resolve the terrorist in Marawi that's very far from Dipolog. I was never scared or concern at anytime while I was there.

We went there wednesday night, We were walking and talking pictures and there is a guy following us. He stops everywhere we stopped, I creeped out and got scared (because we're not from here). Good thing my companions were there, I told them about the guy, then they confirmed that he was really following us. We passed by him and suddenly he walks towards us so we moved by the roadside then he went inside a dark street. We were looking where he was going (so that he cant suprise us). We stopped by a known establishment before we returned to our hotel.

This is right on the beach. You can swim there if you like, but the waves can be a bit rough at times. The sand is black and fine. Really beautiful.

Lots of families enjoying the evening and sunset. Quite a few joggers too, as it is a straight road and flat.

Best of all, the air is fresh, the street is clean - no litter! Though there were people, it didn't feel crowded at all.

At the end of the day, the locals gather here to enjoy the sunset and probably have an early evening jog. The sunsets in Dipolog and specifically in this boulevard are one of the best in the country. The air is fresh and it's wonderful to take a stroll and enjoy the beautiful colors.

Fantastic place especially around nightfall. Sunsets the best time to be here. Good cheap food everywhere, fresh air, pubs and bars.

Paid for completely by tax revenue, the Boulevard is the largest in Mindanao and is simply a pier devoted to outdoor recreation activities. Many food vendors and the famous Dipolog outdoor barbecue, second in size only to the more famous outdoor barbecue in Cebu, are opposite on the same grounds.

The best part of exercising on the Boulevard is obviously, watching the sun rise and set. People of all ages and nationalities gather here. Public basketball courts, beach volleyball and zumba are popular in addition to walking and jogging along the concrete waterside trail which comprises the attraction. Free parking and admission paid from Value Added Tax dollars. Good, clean and magnificent at sunset.
