The beach is lovely but unfortunately there is a scam restaurants that charges tourists 10x what they should. DK oysters has been in business for years charging tourists up to 1,000 euros for a light lunch then using intimidation and threats to ensure they pay.

Stay Away, bars are scamming tourists by luring them in with free sun beds then charging €85 euros plus taxes for a single drink. Many have been ripped off for €thousands. Had one cocktail and a beer and was charged €131 euros and having read the other reviews got off lightly.

Great beach but same experience as one of the reviews below.
Stay away from CK Oyster Bar.
Scammers exploiting tourists. Wish I had read reviews before I came. Don’t order their food, they don’t tell you the price then they charge insane amounts for each dish plus over €100 service fee.

Sea was nice and calm and sand was soft with not a lot of shells and stones like others around. Also visited paradise beach and another along the way but this was definitely the best.

We visited this beach which was nice but decided to go to dk oyster for a sunbed, the staff don’t show you menus or let you know the price of anything and try to push orders onto you, anything you do order will be average quality and charge you Ridiculous amounts of money for it at the end, stay away from these scammers!!

Lovely small beach with some good food restaurant on the front. We recommend eating and getting sunbeds at Yialo Yialo . The sea is really clear and is amazing for swimming and snorkelling . Its the only beach we went to in Mykonos .

We were staying at one of the hotels at this beach so used it every day, but just for the morning swim when it was empty.
The bay is small and very nice with shallow and calm waters. However, the place is obviously popular and sunbeds are so packed along the beach you feel like in a beehive, and it's pretty difficult to move around due to that. Also, I didn't like that crowds for Covid reasons also.
There's a very small free part at the beach's far left.

Very nice beach lined with restaurants and shops. A little market/convenience store as well. We stayed at an adjacent hotel. Some of the bars think everyone needs to hear their music were too loud. Buses get you around island very well and this is sort of a dead end stop for the bus in front of Pesaso. Would visit again and try some more restaurants.

One of the things we liked about Platis Gialos is the beach water taxe. It will take you to the other 5 beaches on the South coast. After visiting the other beaches, we returned and spent the remainder of our day at Platis Gialos. The other beaches may be better for others, but they didn't fit our need/mood for this day.

Si c'è un ampio parcheggio proprio prima della spiaggia a Sn che sarebbe dedicato ai ristoranti sulla spiaggia, in particolare Avli etc.. Ma sia si può dire che dopo si andrà a mangiare, dopo chiedono ricevuta, sia si può entrare lasciando una piccola mancia al controllore..

Most of the beach is free for all.As hotels and beach restaurants are there they offer u towels and sun bath chairs if order drinks or snacks
But if carry towels from hotel u can enjoy !!!!!!

Ξαπλωστρες παρα πολλες , βασικα παντου.Παρα πολλες ελευθερες.Στο yialo yialo κοστιζουν 20 ε.Ειχε πολυ κοσμο.Τα διπλανα δεν ξερω τιμες γιατι ειδα οτι δεν ειχαν κοσμο.

Hey Angella,
1. Would recommend to spend time at both, easily accessible through water taxis.
2. Not very sure
3. There are dining options at both beaches but not as many as in Mykonos town
4. Shopping area is concentrated at Mykonos town, plenty of shops.
5. Absolutely, if you really want to get a feel of Mykonos, Would highly recommend to stay in town area. All beaches are at short distances, easily accessible through public buses or rental bikes/cars. Check out Ather boutique stay..
