This waterfall is located about 10km from the Iligan City center in Brgy. Buru-un. It is only about 500m from the highway, so it is very assessable. The falls are not real tall, but it is still a nice view and you are able to get right up to them. The area is currently being built up to be more tourist friendly. There are large and small covered setting areas which can be rented. The days rate for a large one is P1500 inclusive. There are cemented picnic tables in the stream below the falls which is a nice place to set. The entrance fee is only P25, but there was a sign indicating it will be raised to P50 which is still very reasonable. This falls is well worth a visit! They also have a zip line for P150 and a cable car.
Iligan is known as the City of Waterfalls, some can be difficult to get to. I would suggest going to the Dept. of Tourism which is located at City Hall. They are very helpful and can provide you with a city map and also a map of the area which has directions to some of the more assessable falls.

There's a secret entrance for budget travelers where you don't have to pay a fee to get close to the falls. We just took pics near the falls as there were issues on the cleanliness of the water.

Did you know that Mimbalot Falls is located in Iligan City, Mindanao. And Iligan City is the city of waterfalls. This not far from the city and accessible by jeepney, with minimal entrance fee, and safe. If you are planning to visit this please bring your friends with you and have a nice time here.

I visited Mimbalot around theee years ago. The waterfalls was a place where locals wash their clothes which was not good for the environment.
Now they developed this into another attraction. They built pools and cottages. I'm not sure if it is better now but at least the place was cleaner and profitable than before.
They just need to be strict on the trash.

Mimbalot falls are about 10mins out of town, not as hard to get to as Tinago but still a lil bit of a hike, there arent any paths you just climb across the rocks. The falls are quite small but very nice, you can bathe in the pools at the bottom of the falls. There arent usually any people there so u have the place to yourself. Worth a visit

Tired of bustling city life? Have a dip at Mimbalot Falls in Iligan City and you'll surely enjoy the beauty of his creation.
Granny/grappies and child-friendly waterfalls in Iligan City, considering its location from the hi-way and the waterfall itself. You only need few walks to witness its beauty.

The falls is one of the amazing falls in Iligan. What we did with my friends was we rode a jeepney and stopped at the highway going to the falls. There were motorcycles that you can pay to drop you directly to Mimbalot falls but we chose to just walk since the way to the falls is full of trees and the view is relaxing. The falls looks really majestic because of the height but its a bit unsafe to dip and swim there since unlike the other falls, it doesn't have a big basin where you can freely swim. It has terraces of small basins in different levels at the bottom where its full of huge slippery rocks. I myself slipped twice but luckily my friend was able to hold me so my head did not hit the stone.

Firstly, let me just correct another reviewer who stated you can only get here by taxi or rented van. NOT TRUE. My internet research prior to traveling here informed me that I could take a jeepney from downtown Iligan and be dropped off where I could take a habal habal or trike to the falls. Which is what I did to first visit Tinago Falls. As these falls are nearby I then negotiated a price with a trike driver at Tinago to take me to these falls and then return me to the main road where I then took a jeepney back to the crossroad for Maria Cristina Falls. The trike driver came with me and took some photos for me.
Entry was 50 pesos and only a few steps to descend. Nice area for family picnic. Great for photo taking. Certainly worth a visit.

One of the most accessible falls in Iligan. The entrance is free of charge. The falls stands high enough to appreciate its beauty. They have available cotttage in the area as well as swimming pool.
