Firstly, let me just correct another reviewer who stated you can only get here by taxi or rented van. NOT TRUE. My internet research prior to traveling here informed me that I could take a jeepney from downtown Iligan and be dropped off where I could take a habal habal or trike to the falls. Which is what I did to first visit Tinago Falls. As these falls are nearby I then negotiated a price with a trike driver at Tinago to take me to these falls and then return me to the main road where I then took a jeepney back to the crossroad for Maria Cristina Falls. The trike driver came with me and took some photos for me.
Entry was 50 pesos and only a few steps to descend. Nice area for family picnic. Great for photo taking. Certainly worth a visit.

One of the most accessible falls in Iligan. The entrance is free of charge. The falls stands high enough to appreciate its beauty. They have available cotttage in the area as well as swimming pool.

Mimbalot is a very picturesque small sized falls that is a good place to visit Iligan. It's not too far and there is no entrance fee needed.

You have to pay 50php for the entrance fee and it has a lot of little swimming pools on the side besides from the actual falls.

You can also go up the falls to take some nice pictures. This place is near the 2nd entrance to Tinago Falls. So you can actually go to Tinago then to Mimbalot. We rented a taxi to take us around town. There are actually no tricycles in Iligan so it's either you take the taxi or rent a van. We got a good deal from our driver - Kuya Zandro (PM me so I can provide his mobile# in case you are looking for trustworthy person to take you around town.

Visited this falls on a package tour. After visiting Ma Cristina Falls we find this falls unappealing ànymore. The management needs to improve the area and perform maintenance activities to keep the area clean and appealing

Just recently visit Mimbalot Falls with friends after a long time. I can still vividly describe how it was when I made my first visit here - unexploited and naturally beautiful. We rode a local tricycle just about 5-minute ride from the main road for Php 30.00. Road is concrete so going there isn't much of a problem. I was amazed at first, overwhelmed by the changes the locals made for so many years and then we were greeted by the lady at the front gate to collect the fee. There's not a lot of people on that day as it was Monday but maybe I know the reason why now.

Firstly, as we entered the premises, we saw some concrete tables built in the water on the left side, sounds like a fancy place where you can enjoy your meal whilst sitting right next to a waterfall BUT not quite expecting to see a lady washing clothes there. Moving on. It also have swimming pools in case you don't want to swim near the waterfall. The pools, though, were disgusting! I'm pretty sure they haven't clean them for days or weeks as it is getting greener (instead of seeing white blue-ish paint) plus all the leaves falling from the trees were floating freely and not one maintenance person were cleaning them despite customers around (there were children using the pools, by the way, but kids never really mind leaves floating on the water nor the state of it).

Secondly, we went on looking for a spot where we can eat our lunch and surprised at the amount of trash sitting on every corner of the cottages. Food styrofoams, plastic bottles, cups, plates, you name it, even plastic bags hanging on the ceiling of the cottage. I wonder how the management was not able to see them and I can tell it was not a fresh batch of rubbish, so you do the thinking.

Thirdly, the toilet and changing room. There is no washing room although they have only one - in an open space near cottages and in between the pools. So, you cannot shower privately. Changing rooms have no light so you have to bring one with you.

Overall, I was (we were) not impressed at all at what I've (we've) seen and discovered. Not worth the Php 100 entrance fee, at all. We managed to find a spot where we had our lunch, took some pictures of the beautiful 'now exploited" Mimbalot Falls and left.

I hope the management will do something about this but my advise, for now - it ain't a friendly tourist attraction.

Another Falls that was worth seeing. We walked at its side, approaching from the western side if got were facing the falls. Rocks around it could be slippery from mist and algae, so don't follow what we did. Our view was only from this side and Mimbalot is what you would call, charming.

We and my family decided to check and visit Mimbalot Falls. Indeed, it was a nice falls. But the management or maybe the local government. Should have improvements with the cleanliness of the surroundings. :)
