The majority of tourists to the island stay at this beach due to the concentration of accommodations, restaurants and dive shops. The beach itself is pretty good though many boats park along it. I preferred hanging out at Langub beach during the day.

Its not that good for lying on the beach and swim all day because the water is low and there are alot of rocks in it. However a nice beach to look at, specially at sunset.
We where there 2 days after the typhoon Ursula so hard to give a fair review.

Malapascua island is good for divers, if you like snorkeling or enjoy beach and night, malapascua is not the destination. BEACH? not really spectacular. Only simple beach.
The beach is good water as all philippines, with the boats to rent by yourself or you can coordinate with divers hotels. Is really quiet and this october without tourist, really few.
Many beach of philippines are better than this, except diving ( many people said is very good )
CAUTION: al the times the philippino people ( boats ) offered expensive options. To arrive to malapascua from cebu you need go to Northern Bus Terminal ( NBT ) by taxi : around 100P , then take Philippino Bus ( 180P ), by private car the cost is around 4000P ( ??? ) take the YELLOW BUS ( A/C ), then in maya the people try give the boat : 1000P, but if you walk 30 meters, you ll take a ticket and the price is 80P.
Then you ll arrive to MALAPASCUA and can choice the hotel.
SUGGESTION: if you dont like or can not dive, dont go to malapascua. is only poor/average beach.

This is, without a shadow of a doubt the biggest disappointment of my visit in Philippines. Before I went to Malapascua Island I was at Bantayan Island. I wanted to give 1/5 score to Bantayan but after I saw Malapascua I see that Banatayan is not that bad…
I visited Malapascua with my Filipino girlfriend. She had never been there but heard very nice opinions about this island. We checked photos on the internet, they looked spot on, so we decided to visit since we were at Bantayan already which was not far.
In few words, Malapascua these days (we were there late November 2017) is a one big junkyard with dozens of boats parked up randomly EVERYWHERE. You really have got to have skills to squeeze between them when you want to go for a walk. Bounty Beach??? Nice joke, that sounds like a paradise but is faaaaaaaaaar from it… On top of that, there is a sea grass EVERYWHERE around this island literally like 3-4m from the coastline. Forget about swimming in something like that.
I was not fully happy at Bantayan but I need to admit that I was able to take hundreds of beautiful photos there (trying to hide the mess in the background quite often) but at Malapascua I was not able to take a single good photo, because the whole Bounty Beach is covered by those bloody boats!!!!
I know that Malapascua is for Divers but I was told that if you are not into diving, you will find this island beautiful as well. Now I know that you won`t… and on top of that, even if this is for divers, does it mean that it needs to look like a junkyard? Just take a look at my photos and judge yourself (we were there late November 2017). For me and my Filipino girlfriend, that was the first and the last visit there.

I'm very sad to see this beach, well all of the beaches in Malapascua is full of trash from diapers, plastic bottles, sachets, straws, shards, and even metal bottle caps. It looks so beautiful but when you try to swim in the beach you could see all the trash. They whole island is literally a huge trash bin. We walk around the whole island and we saw piles of trash everywhere. I wish the resorts will try to clean the sea in front of them not just the shoreline. What really surprised me is that this place has a lot of dive shops and of course they know they impact of plastic in the ocean but why they doesn't clean the shoreline. They're all about money.

I'm not really sure how people got those lovely photos of the beach here. Maybe it's the time of year or something but the whole beach is basically a bangka parking lot, just so many boats pulled up along the beach that it is difficult to find a place to sit and enjoy the sea! It's all a bit of a mess and not very clean, not the paradise beach I read about on travel sites and blogs! The water is not so bad for swimming at high tide but there is a lot of sea grass growing here - should be good for spotting turtles but you don't want to venture too far with all the boats zipping back and forth!

When I was researchign on teh internet, I really thoutght that Malapascua is a very small and backward isladn, nd bounty beach is just liek any otehr beach in Philippines.
How wrong I was!
Bounty beach has an uncanny resemblance to Boracay's beaches (station 1 - 2-3 right upto Angol point). For starts, it has a "beach walk" which runs along the beach all thrugh - upto the village at the other corner. A lot of the good resorts and restaurants of Malapascua are located along this beach walk (all have beach views and are really good!)
The beach is beautiful (it is a bit wider than Alona beach and of course, not as wide as the beach in Boracay), has hardly any people, is white powdery sand, and bangkas - especially the island hopping ones land on this beach.
In the morning, it is refreshing to sit on the sands of this beach, sipping coffee or a chilled juice, and watch life pass by... it is low tide so the beach becomes bigger, many sand banks, star fish and marine sea of thorns reveal themselves lying on the sand, children walk along the shallow water looking for small prawns and crabs...
We stayed beside Bounty beach (at Dano beach resort), but even if you don't stay here (there are some resorts inwards), it is good to come here and walk. There are a few souvenir shops that sell t-shirts, wraps and trinkets.

I’m gutted to be having to write this review because I had such a nice stay. Everyone seemed friendly, the food is great and genuinely had a great time. But our hostel aircon was broken and so we had the door open at night. This was our decision but unfortunately someone came in while we were sleeping and stole everyone’s money, sunglasses, iPad and iPhone. I saw the guy walk out and it was a local. Please just make sure that this chilled island doesn’t make you comfortable enough to not lock your things away. One of the bags was locked but he had managed to open the zip. Lock your doors and possessions

The beach is not the great. It is not as good as other world renowned beaches in the country. There are a lot of boats parked on the area that ruins the view of the sea. You will feel awkward to swim in the area because of that.
I recommend to go to other beach such as Langub beach to enjoy a better beach.

Malapascua became famous for this beach with its bright and powderfine sand. It is gone. After the last taifoon beach erosion became severe and unfortunately the layer of fine bright sand is mostly washed away. What is left is mostly rough coral material and coarse sand packed with hotels, restaurants and boats on the whole stretch of the beach. There is good diving still but i can't see any good reason that justifies the long trip here.
