Had my Open Water Dive course here. It was fun and amazing experience. I had a great Dive instructor, Kuya Cling! He teaches us very well and explained everything in a very easy way to understand and he always make sure the we understand everything to avoid accident in or out of water. It is never a boring class with him.
Thank you for the accommodating owner, though we have a little misunderstanding with the price but the owner manage and find way the suites for both of us. They also have good food and great pizza. I only suggest not to sit on the beach side as you wont get proper services there. I was a bit upset with the service as we ordered together with my boyfriend but his food came first and mine came after he finishes his food. But the food is good, its just I did not enjoy much eating alone while my boyfriend is waiting for me to finish. All in all, was good. We will still recommend this place.

We stumbled across blue waters because we bumped into Nigel, a fellow Welshman, and got chatting. We had no active plans for diving but after talking to Nigel, we decided that this dive company would be a good place to get started. We signed up to do the open water course where we met our instructor, Cling. Cling was very professional, friendly and thorough! Over the next couple of days we began our course with only one other student and found out we were the first three students since the dive shop reopened. The course was a good balance of theory and practice, which really helped us with the foundations of diving. Cling was so accommodating and flexible depending on our schedule and the weather. After we passed the course we decided to do a fun dive with Cling so that we could see the thresher sharks.. we had an incredible experience and managed to see 2 sharks! Cling put us at ease when we were nervous and we felt comfortable diving deeper than we had before. Cling was very kind and funny and we really enjoyed his company. We would highly recommend the dive shop and would love to come back to do our advanced course. Shout out to Janet for helping me out with my medication issue and the rest of the family for being so kind and welcoming. Rhys and Alice from Wales, UK.

Dived here mid February , did Padi advanced diving course. Instructor was very good , dives were awesome, do the night and deep dives!, but with reservations. We went to dive sites with half full bottles!, had boat breakdowns, regulator problems during dive and most worrying air bottles had 2011 stamp, not good when they should be checked and stamped every 5 years
Great location though

We came to this shop after I had a poor experience with another dive shop on the island. Immediately the management made me feel at ease, they seemed super honest and suggested their favourite night dive location rather then the usual “night dive is good”- just trying to sell not giving you the best experience you could have. We ended up doing 3 dives with them, one night and two at gato- all were excellent. Nick was the management we worked with and EJ was our excellent dive master, we saw a ton!!

We were there for padi open water licence. Jos was our instructor for 3 days. He is very experienced, patient, loves his job and very good at his job. He tought us everthing from the begining and answered all our questions. After 3 days we dived to see thresher sharks and this way we completed our deep diving course for advanced training. Prices are good for all kind of divings. Thanks to Blue water and all the staff for everything. Hope to meet you again 😊

We got their for a diving experience of Gato island and thresher Shark.

The price was very reasonable, 5000 for 3 dives across a 10 hours period.
My girlfriend was very new to the diving, and just got her licence a week ago. Therefore, a close and calm guidence on her was needed, but unfortunetly the staff was too young and let her feel unsecure about her skills and even laugh and shout at her..
I think the managment need to add to their lines an experienced divemaster who can manage this kind of situation.
Although I can say that if you have a lot of experience, the dives with them can be good for you 🙂

Me and my girlfriend booked 3 dives at Blue Water for the following day - 1 at Monad Shoal and 2 more at Gato Island. We showed up at 4:30 am for the first dive as instructed and no one was there to welcome us. At some point some guy came but he had no way to contact any of the shop’s workers. After waiting an hour(!!!) we gave up and returned disappointed to our hotel. We came back later that day to confront them, and it was explained to us there was a misunderstanding as to which of the guides should go. We felt the right thing to do was for them to offer a fair compensation - as we were scheduled for 2 more dives, however, none such was offered.
We decided to cancel the other dives with them and went on those 3 dives with another dive shop the next day.

Hello, Amir Thank you for taking the time to write this review and I am sorry to hear about your bad experience. Blue Water Divers has since been taken over by new management and we will most certainly avoid this kind of issue going forward. We hope you had good diving experiences here in Malapascua anyway and hope you will stop by our shop next time you are here and allow us to make up for your experience. Friendly regards, Vera Blue Water Divers

I chose this dive shop as I arrived late in the afternoon on Malapascua, wanted to dive the next day and this shop was open. The French dive instructor working there was also super friendly so I got good vibes from the place. But I very much regretted this the next day. One other guy and I did two dives with our dive master at Gato. Unfortunately I can’t remember the dive masters name, but he clearly didn’t want to be there. He didn’t say a word to us on the boat until he gave a very brief dive briefing. The safety underwater was fine but on the second dive we ended the dive when both of us still had more than 70bar air left. We attribute this to the fact that I dive master was shivering underwater and had complained about the cold after the 1st dive. Perhaps he should’ve worn a wetsuit instead of just board shorts and rash shirt? Back at the dive shop after the dives, it was a struggle to get any info to write in my logbook. Our dive master couldn’t wait to get out of there. For what I paid (much cheaper available on the island) I was not happy. I dove with Sea Slug divers the next day who I’d highly recommend! Free water, tea, coffee on the boat, great dive briefing (even at 4.30am!) and much cheaper.

Words cannot begin to describe the dream that was our visit to Malapascua. My friend Rachel and I made the long journey to this tiny paradise based on the recommendation of someone we met in Palawan. Blue Water made our wildest dreams a reality. We both got our advanced open water cert and couldn’t be happier with friendship, professionalism, personality and level of service that we were provided with. Prices were competitive, the accommodations clean and comfortable and the staff was so inviting and helpful the entire time. And the dives!!!!beyond description-Michael and TaTa were amazing hosts and Instructors. We highly recommend blue water and plan on returning to both get our rescue diver cert soon! Tagay!!

I completed my PADI Open Water Certification at Blue Water Resort and I could not have asked for a better experience. Tata and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. My instructor Steven was professional and encouraging. I will be recommending this dive school to everyone! I did not stay at the resort, so I can't comment on the accommodation but I did see a sign that accommodation is free if you do a dive course with this resort. The location is right on the beach looking over the water. There is a pool for guests and a beach side restaurant. Facilities are clean and comfortable.
