we came here by accident it is a doc campsite and was abit spooky has all the amenities but found out this was where a dog had killed a kiwi,that was enough to put us off plus there was noone else there so went down...More

Great short walks to see many large kauri trees. We also did a night tour with a guide from the Top 10 holiday park in the hope of seeing kiwi, This was a great experience despite not seeing kiwi. We did hear them though!

Easy loop walk of around 30-40 minutes depending on your pace and time to linger. Nice trail and a good amount of boardwalk. Was pretty quiet when we visited so could soak up the forest atmosphere and listen to the birds. So great to see...More

this is a good place if you like walking lovely scenery, wear good footwear and take a drink and a snack in case your tempted to keep walking
