The place was majestic, comforting and refreshing.
The water was so cold in a very refreshing way.
Going there was easy, if your from manila take SLEX then turn to Calamba Exit(Turbina), then just straight ahead to San Pablo via Santo Thomas, then from San Pablo take Werner Schetelig Ave. til you reach Nagcarlan - Rizal Road, from Nagcarlan proper take the road going to Liliw, then from Liliw take the route going to Majayjay. From Majayjay ask for the route thats going to Lucban. And finally going to Taytay falls ask for directions going to "Small brother House".
The entrance fee is 20php each. Parking fee is 50php. They also offer Tents for 250(good for 4-5 persons) , 350 (good for 6-8 persons) or you can bring your own.
Note: Ask Barangay Personnel before going down.
Ecotrail takes about 10-15mins going to the falls,so it is advisable to prepare things you need when going down.

6-7 hour drive from alabang to taytay falls is a lie. It will took 2 hours without traffic, the place is good and only requires a cowboy ones, bawal maarte. Its a camp site not a resort or swimming pool

we had a day tour swimming at taytay falls last May 25..the place is too far from alabang..we consume almost 6-7 hours travel time (one-way only)
when we arrived at the said area, we need to have a walk for 5minutes from the parking lot going to the falls..
surprisingly the falls is very breathtaking and the water itself was cold and clear clean but their is no available comfort room or should i say the build shower room and comfort room at taytay falls were very disgusting (literally filthy, dirty and soiled). there were poops all over, no area where you can change clothes and no decent room where you can pi.
i am just wandering, how come they are asking for entrance fee if they cannot maintain the area as good as it was.

I've been to this falls last 2 years ago around April of 2013 and I came back just last May 15, 2015.
My revisit disappoints me because for 2 years, I've seen a lot of changes with the place and the people who manage it.
First, at the entrance,
When I paid our entrance fee (P30-overnight) I gave the personel P100 and he tricked me by askingme to rent a tent since we're up for overnight. My gf gave me P1000 for the tent payment which is P250 and I asked popoy (the boy who will set up our tent) if he has some change for it he said he doesn't have. The guy in the entrance payment booth proactively said he can change it and he did change it to hundreds never giving me yet my change for the entrance fee which should be P40. (P100-P60. which is the fee for the two of us. P30 each). I asked for it but he said I havent gave him any payment yet. I knew that I already gave him the payment and I don't mind giving him another hundred but the fact the he was not honest that's what saddens me.
Second, when we were at the area we first look for an area to set up our tent. And I just asked popoy to set up near the falls. While we were doing that I noticed that there were a lot of people at the place so it change my expectation for a peaceful nature wandering falls I expected to feel like the first time that I came there. So disappointed that there were I lot of trash. The people who visit the place was not reponsible to clean nor even put it to the trash can and just leave every mess after they go.
I hope that the people who manage the area would be strict for rules like this. Because in the future that the Taytay falls will lose it's beauty for nature. They are the same people who will be affected the most if tourist would not go there anymore because it's already POLLUTED.
I pity the falls, and those who still try their best to keep the place clean.

I've read lots of travel blogs about this waterfall, it even boasts of icy cold waters that come straight from Mt. Banahaw (a blogger even claimed that they used it to cool their beverages). I even googled images of this majestic waterfalls, and all are very consistent in describing how very beautiful the place really is. All of which enticed my curiosity and so my girlfriend and I planned our out of town adventure in Laguna. It seemed to me that I will be discovering yet another paradise and another collection to my waterfall adventures will be added since I live in a province teeming with waterfalls.
But it all changed when we arrived at the venue... The long drive (we traveled in a private vehicle) was not rewarding. The place is very crowded!
Note: No matter how great a place is if its crowded then it will ruin the mood and simply put--you will only waste time and not enjoy your vacation.
Before you reach the waterfall, you must trek for approximately 15 minutes or less. Why is it 15 minutes? Because it is so crowded, there are times you have to make turns stopping and continuing the trek to ease up the traffic. Apparently, the other visitors do not practice the "LNT" practice. There are lots of thrash in the surroundings. Bottles of brandy, soap and shampoo packets, food leftovers, etc. Some are just littering the waters by washing their plates and spoons, and I've noticed a group brushing theire teeth in the water. When you visit a mountain, river, spring, waterfall, you must be responsible enough for your own garbages. Also, water systems like that are very sensitive to indiscriminate pollution. A baranggay may depend on such water source for their daily needs. So it is truly a must to be responsible traveler.
It saddens me that a beautiful place like this is slowly being ruined by unruly visitors. The management is very evidently lax in maintaining the rules.

Went here on Black Saturday, a holiday and within peak season. We got here early at 10am in the hopes of lesser people. It’s about 3 hours’ drive from Metro Manila (we passed through the Geothermal area in Sto Tomas Batangas to skip the heavy traffic in Calamba, Laguna). Traffic was light. To the drivers, brace yourselves as the road to Taytay falls is quite narrow (very tight for two way traffic).
There were ample signages to get to the falls. Upon entrance to the parking we were asked to pay P20 per person. I asked for a PWD discount and was told there was none (which is weird - there is no official receipt for the entrance tickets as well), which was quite disappointing.
The parking was already quite full and throngs of people already beat us to the place (yikes!). We were asked to pay P50 for the parking - again no official receipt was ever given.
There were changing rooms and toilets at the parking lot and could be cleaner and improved (example with flushes, working door locks) given the entrance fees they ask for from the hundreds of visitors.
Prior to going down to the hike to the falls we had to surrender our tickets (makes me wonder why?!).
Hike to the falls is about ten minutes. It was quite fun and we could see the falls and the clear waters which was exciting. The water was cold and clean - we had a good time swimming. Even when there were hundreds of people the place was quite huge and there was enough space for us to swim and walk around.
What is frustrating is there are bits of trash around from some irresponsible tourists. Maybe upon entrance the staff can remind everyone to dispose of trash properly. I really hope the cleanliness of the place can be maintained.
When we left there was no clear sign that the road was a one way road so imagine our difficulty making a uturn through the narrow road.
Overall the falls was beautiful but the management and efficiency of staff could be improved.

This is a public attraction in Majayjay and they allow overnight camping here so expect some trashes scattered on some areas that was left behind by irresponsible people. Ignoring these eyesore and focus your attention to the Falls and basin. This is a meduim size falls with crystal clear water even during rainy months. Water temp here is comparable to Tappiyah Falls in Banaue. I have been here several times last year because of the water quality and to relax. Very accessible side trip from Lucban. I just hope that other people visiting this place will be responsible enough not to leave their trashes here.

all their reviews are true. Its a cold and fantastic place.
2 hours from Alabang
30 pesos registration fee per pax
you can stay overnight
tent rental is 150
there's a short trek going to the falls from Brgy. Jump off
there's 3 local stores where you can buy goods and they also sell Pancit habhab/bato set for4-5 PAX 200 Php.
if you are a commuter make sure to ask the locals for the Jeepney transpo hours.
CR is available but manage your expectations.

I understand that they charge a minimal entrance fee but what do you get out of it? Well, the place was amazingly beautiful to entwine with nature but the place is so messy. The shower room doesnt have doors and faucet or even individual showerheads. No place where you can hang your clothes. No utility to have an eye to everyone's there.Cobwebbs all around and a foul smell all over.
Id probably go back if the management should take extra effort on handling this issue.

Hi! Pwede po ba malaman if pwede mag overnight stay dito sa Taytay Falls? Me and my friends are planning to stay overnight using tents. Looking forward po sa sagot. Thanks and God bless po.
Written April 26, 2017
Hello Reymond! Yes, you may stay overnight. We saw tents there. But staying overnight may not be a good idea near the falls, but it can be done.
There are housing and available rooms at the trail entrance. You may want to stay in any of those.
If you want to stay in tents, you might need to notify the in-charge (Barangay) that you are staying overnight. There are security and staff around the area.
Enjoy!

From Metro Manila, specifically Las Piñas City, to Taytay Falls, how many hours will get us through? And magkano po kaya sa travel fair ang gagastusin if ever we commute? And how much are we supposed to have na enough to spend a day tour doon? We're just students lang po kase :D thank you in advance for answers Ma'am/Sir.
Written January 14, 2017
from LasPinas, go to Alabang and take a bus going to Santa Cruz. From Santa Cruz take a jeep to Majayjay Laguna. From there you can take another jeep or trycycle to Majayjay falls.
