A rather easy hour long loop, good primarily to see the flora and kill some time, particularly in the rain ( we did it between showers)

Excellent bush walk from the village, a real surprise to walk into this forest with beautiful trees & one section looks amazing as it's filled with ferns. Lots of plant name signs along the walk & plenty of birdlife, a very nice surprise in this...More

Loved this walk. Would be ideal for families with young children as it is not too long. Quite a refuge if the day is hot. Lovely cool ferns and mossy trees. Takes you up for lovely views and leads down to a river with bridge...More

This is a very gentle stroll through a lovely wooded area with glimpses of the mountains through the trees. Perfect after a big meal or to stretch the legs after one of the harder treks.

Nice short walk if you have an hour to spare or it's a bit wet to do the other trails. It starts close to all the accommodation. Small climb at the start.

This is one of the shorter trails in the park. You can see a variety of plant life in the park, including some of the over 200 varieties of ferns in New Zealand.
