Most Mt. Etna excursions stop at the Silvestri Craters on the lava-covered slopes, but with this exclusive tour you can reach the top of Europe’s highest active volcano with a volcanologist guide. Take a cable car and off-road vehicle to Torre del Filosofo and then continue on foot about a mile (2 kilometers) to the summit craters. Learn about the volcano’s history from your guide and enjoy sweeping views over the coastline.

We came here this afternoon after reading the trip advisor reviews. There is plenty of parking in a car park next to the beach but we found a small road which was a little bit closer. The beach is about 300 m long with several cafes along the length and plenty of umbrellas and beds. The sand is so soft and I’m not normally a sandy beach Goa but I would come back here any day. The water is beautiful and you could walk out hundreds of metres and it was just perfect. A great place to watch the sunset as well

Sicily is beautiful any time of year. I visited towards the end of the high season, when things were much calmer - just the way I like it.

This place is very quiet off season. But it is a wonderful sandy beach in a cove. There are a few rocks too and the water is crystal-clear. We stayed at a B & N nearby called Vipuntotre overlooking the bay.
