The lost valley is lovely and steady climb up however I was there in mid May and there was very steep climb up the snow maybe it’s gone now however be carefully not to get beyond what you can do.

Went on this walk with boys from our Boys Brigade. The weather was great. This is a challenging walk which involves some scrambling up a steep slope. You need to cross a small burn and then you scramble up another small valley to the entrance...More

A rather challenging walk at times, not for the faint hearted but well worth it for the views of the lost valley. You have to cross the river and can be tricky dependent on water levels.

It was just what we had hopped for. A ~2hr walk up into the hidden valley. A very well maintained trail, very scenic trail. Get an early start to beat the crowds.

This is a lovely walk ending in the lost valley. As it follows the gully care has to be taken as it is easy to slip on the rock path. It's well worth the effort and doesn't take that long to climb. The feeling of...More

Good walk not too strenuous and view at end spectacular. If I can do it anyone can. Just go well prepared and go at your own pace.

Make sure you' re prepared for this long stroll up the valley especially in winter. The snow can linger low down and the streams may be too swollen to cross. But if you make it into the Lost Valley itself then it is a 'Wow'...More

Lovely hike up to the hidden valley - beautiful scenery alongside flowing water and waterfalls. If it has been raining it can mean crossing a stream that is a 12" deep but the valley is only 10 mins beyond this and if you carry on...More

I fully concur with Con42. If you are inexperienced hire a Guide. Mountains in Glencoe are always higher than you imagine and although the Lost valley trail does not go to the top it will still take considerable time to hike... More

About an hour each way. The route is easy to follow. Although I wouldn't say it was well marked out, you'd struggle to get lost.
