The monument is really impressive since it's chiseled in metal and the sculptures are huge. But... it isn't finished so a ton of unfinished parts are laying there and they don't look good.

Fantastic views all along the uphill walk to this monument. And what a nice surprise to find the monument staffed w friendly, very knowledgeable guides ready to explain the details and symbolism of the monument and the history of Manizales. For free!

This is a lovely monument that shows how the brave people from Antioquia decide to found a new place to live and conquer the mountain. It's really sad when you think about the animals and people they lost in this adventure, the artist really capture...More

It took for sure the pioneer spirit and courage to first settle in this beautiful mountaneous region of Colombia. Monumento a los Colonizadores portrays this very well. It reminds me somewhat similar monument in Lisbon, Portugal - Padrão dos Descobrimentos.People come here for the views...More

The Monument itself is not the best think to visit, but the view from here at sunset is awesome, I recommend to visit in the afternoon.
