Beautiful falls

This attraction is well worth the winding journey up the mountain. However, there was difficulty in finding the walking paths around the area not just for myself but for other expectant hikers! Take your camera as the stunning mountain horses provided an additional highlight.

Idyllic spot at the end of a dramatic drive
Oct 2016 • Friends
the drive from the valley floor alone makes it worth while - magnificent views of the Pyrenees, flowered hillsides and forests, and deep gorges. When you get to the parking lot at the top there is a short walk through birch woods and along a creek, and then the fall come into view. There is a lovely meadow extending up into the mountains to the right, with small ponds, and many cows. In October there were crocuses and trees covered in brilliant red berries. My photographer companion said it was one of the most beautiful places he had ever been.

Nice waterfalls in remote location
Oct 2016 • Couples
First, the drive up is not for the fainted hearts among us... Approx 30 min drive on a narrow, winding, not well maintained road with high cliffs will bring you to a parking lot located a few minutes walk from the beautiful waterfall.
Then, to view the other waterfall (beautiful by itself) you need to go for a short (~50 min) hike past the cows pasture (watch were you step!), and up a very(!) narrow and steep trail. You need to be in good physical shape for this trail, and heights shouldn't scare you. We strongly recommend NOT hiking back on the same trail (seem way too dangerous), but taking the dirt road you'll meet after crossing the bridge at the top of the waterfall.

Must see spot in Val d'Aran
Aug 2016 • Family
The Val d'Aran is one of the most amazing and complete holiday destinations in summer and winter. The Saut Deth Pish is a beautiful waterfall with easy access by car and a must see spot during summer holidays.

Amazing drive in and a short walk to the waterfall. You can go very close to the waterfalls and some bathe in the pools. Lots of other areas for young children and adults to paddle. Make the effort and go.

Amazing water fall
Jun 2016 • Couples
The curly road takes you to a small parking lot. Along the way you pass streams of water making their way from the mountain tops to the valley (see the picture).
When you reach the parking lot, after a short walk (5mins), you see amazing set of water fall from the mountain top. The near you is about 50m high with raging water. Scenery is wonderful.
A point not to miss.

Amazing scenery that combines the mountains, the waterfall and the pond
Sep 2015 • Family
The narrow road to the waterfall is beautiful. Be careful when you stop to take pictures. From the parking, the waterfall and pond are 3 minutes away, suitable for all ages. But if you choose to hike path "10" in the map/sign, 35 minutes to the east, it's not very safe for small children as the slopes are really steep

Excelent and easy

A must if you are around and short of time. You can drive thru the small village of Arros (10 minutes longer but nice). We enjoyed more than in Artiga de Lin although the last is more popular

Perfect to go with kids
Aug 2014 • Couples
My husband and I spent a few days in Vall d'Aran and had planned a few hikes. This one was our first, and it was the easiest of all.

You leave the car at a parking, cross a little bridge and walk up five minutes, to reach an esplanade from where you already see the waterfall. You can approach and there are a couple of balconies to take pictures of the waterfall. It's nice, and really easy to do, even if you had kids (it was packed with families, actually).

I also took a path that seemed to take you to the top of the waterfall, but instead it took me in and in into the forrest: wrong! I walked back and finally found that the right path goes almost straight up from the balconies area and you get there in 5 minutes more, although it's easy to miss: after reaching the edge of the cliff the path seems to continue uphill, but actually you want to take another path downhill along the cliff that is half hidden by bushes.

I finally found it after some walking, but it wasn't that impressive: it's much better to stay at the bottom and take pictures from there.

BTW, on the road back we stopped to pick up some wild baby strawberries: don't miss them if you are visiting in the summer!
