Formerly a bustling medieval town, Ansiães is now an abandoned and ruined walled town, with a castle at its highest point. The church is, unlike the rest of town, pristinely preserved and has a beautiful door. Truly a trip back to medieval times!

Excellent Visit. About 5 mn from carrazeda de ansias on the hillside. Magnific view of the douro valley. Have good shoes to walk.
