The cave is amazing, however the actual tour is dreadful! The groups are very large, the guide simply rushed us through, stopping only periodically to point out an interesting formation but most of us could not hear her as we were at the end of a very long line. The worst part is that this tour is actually NOT SAFE! very few railings, slippery floor, poorly lit, having to look down to watch out for uneven, wet floor surfaces detracted from the amazing sights. Anyone with even a minor heart issue, or asthmatic should not take this tour.

The reservation system is a bit complicated, but luckily we had a local call ahead for us. The caves themselves are spectacular and well worth the visit. We did the shorter English-language tour which was enough, especially for anyone with mobility issues. Our guide was informative, but didn't always wait for everyone to be within earshot before she started her explanation. Note that photos are not allowed in much of the cave complex.

An interesting, fascinating and informative place, which we would recommend for a visit if you’re in the area. One of the largest grottes that we have been to.

The caves have a natural magic and have been very well prepared for tourists and visitors without spoiling them. But we were not too impressed with the guided tour - only two tours a day in English, made for VERY VERY large groups. The layout meant we had to walk in a long line and other groups were passing us on their way back. The groups needed to be a max of 20 rather than maybe 60 or 70 people. We could not hear the guide and she only gave minimum facts with no chance to ask questions.

I would have given this place a 10/10 - the place, the caves were absolutely 💯 brilliant and something that should be enjoyed and be enjoyable. However our experience and enjoyment was hampered immediately when we arrived at the ticket office. We had booked in advance and that was not a problem. However to use the toilets we had to pay 50 cents a d that is a problem when you don't have any change and the caretakers are not sympathetic. Then the next part was that all the groups for the tour were lumped together without staggering them. Thus this caused problems when groups entering clashed with groups leaving. The tour guides and the knowledge they possessed was, just needed to be desired. About 80% of the group could not hear the guide. We could not understand why the rear guide could not split the rear group and give a commentary. Perhaps she was not paid for this. Instead her job was to constantly shout "no photos or videos" - We could not understand what was the reason for this - its not as if we photographing a nuclear bunker or the crown jewels. Perhaps they did not want the group to slow down as a result of people taking photos. This could have been dealt with by giving people a couple of minutes to savor the place. Also what was more scary was that there was no clear plan for exit and emergency escape. There were plenty of elderly people and one them showed signs of distress when the groups clashed and had to wait for one to pass the other by. Basically the whole thing was badly organised and it felt that nobody could care.

Hard to contact by phone and upon arrival was told no elevator - 380 steps! Once there the tour (short one hour) was good.

Poorly organised and rather disappointing. From the car parking: poor signage and one poor woman with a whistle directing traffic, to the actual tour, it all seemed designed to make money. We queued. Very many steps down to the first cave ( lift mentioned later but not after several of us hobbled with care). And then our English group shuffled behind the french group, behind the Italian group. Excellent English, although he’d obviously told the jokes before, and amazing caves. Wwe were told not to touch, people did. Parts of the caves were lit and the lights encouraged green growth on the rocks. I’ve seen caves in Texas and the uk and Slovenia, and more. These seemed more shabby somehow.

The caves were very beautiful and such a wonderful experience, the full tour was around 2 hours and I would definitely recommend to bring water and coverup as it can get very cold. Unfortunately we couldn’t take pictures inside but I took some of the outside were we could.

Very beautifull cave, So many different structures. Good english speaking guide, it is not too crowded. The pace You walk with with the guide is sufficient to stop and enjoy all the amazing views

Had a fantastic visit with out 4 and 3 year olds.
We took the short tour and did not feel rushed through at all as other reviews have suggested. We had plenty of time to look around and the caves were fantastic. Our guide Nico was very good and very funny, he made the tour! Photo’s were only allowed in the first cave, I’m guess this was due to the lack of natural light everywhere else - but we went for the experience and not just for the photos. The floors were slippery so do make sure to wear shoes with good grip. Our only regret was that we did not do the full tour…
