This was recommended to us by the owner of the home-stay at Gokarna. But for the sun (yeah, we made a summer trip), this was a good pit-stop enroute to Om Beach. Entry is free - with a nominal place, this can be better maintained....More

It's a monument recognised as the Heritage monument. Kept Very clean, literally couldn't find a single paper or plastic around it. Very beautiful view of river meeting to sea.

Nothing much to do, but the views from the fort are awesome. Place is not at all crowded. Be the first one on the day and open the door on your own. Worth 1-2 hrs of stop if its on the way.

Not very far from Gokarna, yet secluded place to spend an evening. The fort walls are in good shape. History of it is not written anywhere. But one can always open Google and read about the place

Visiting MirJan fort, which is not so well known, will give you a different experience. The sprawling fort and the facilities like wells, underpass and steps will surprise you. There is also an aesthetic beauty to the whole place
