Mirjan fort is small when compared with Bakel fort which was also a part of Vijayanagara Empire. The front side of the fort is intact and beautiful, but interior needs more attention. There is a bus stop in the name of Mirjan in between Gokarna...More

We visited the fort recently and the place was mesmerising after the rains. Though there is not much left of the fort, the place was covered with a carpet of moss and grass all over which was soothing to the eyes. The view from the...More

This Fort is best of all among those place nearby. The view more amazing then pictures which are available online. This fort is less commercialized and its natural beauty still exists. Hence you must visit this place if you go for Gokarna or near by.

We have visited this fort during august mid. Due to monsoon rains this fort turns to lush green. This awesome fort is just 5 mins away from main road. This is a must visit place during monsoon.

This was recommended to us by the owner of the home-stay at Gokarna. But for the sun (yeah, we made a summer trip), this was a good pit-stop enroute to Om Beach. Entry is free - with a nominal place, this can be better maintained....More

It's a monument recognised as the Heritage monument. Kept Very clean, literally couldn't find a single paper or plastic around it. Very beautiful view of river meeting to sea.
