True gem. We visited this beach purely due to its name and thought maybe its not worth getting out of the car for due to wild sand flies, thankfully we did. We walked down to the beach and realized how wonderful it was. I never...More

We stopped off for a quick pit-stop, and it was cool seeing the stones on the beach. Good spot for photos and we had a lovely walk- no-one else was around. Possibly because it was incredibly windy- and my hair looked crazy when we got...More

When a local geologist and beach-comber told me there's a good possibility of finding semi precious stones, and even gold, on Gemstone, I simply had to go. After spending over 2 hours in the windy lovely beach, I did return with a load of stones...More

Decided we would go for a drive to the coast on Easter Monday. Called in at Gemstone Beach on a Lovely Autumns day & enjoyed a walk along this beach. A nice place to visit on a good day: Well worth a visit ;

Great beach for walking as well as collecting coloured pebbles/stones. At low tide the beach is long and expansive. Definitely not a swimming beach. Our dogs also loved it

The weather was really against us but we still managed a nice walk on the beach between the showers. Did find any Gems this time.

Great beach. Gorgeous country side. Didn't find any gems. Careful with parking as it can fill up and leave you stuck.

Take a walk as far as you can..this is a place that can consume you for hours..make sure you go at low tide so you don't get stuck on the beach

This is a beautiful beach but also very sad. The amount of plastic on it is just embarrassing. There is more plastic than gems. We did see some very pretty rocks though.
