I’ve been to Onaping Falls a few times now. It’s absolutely stunning in all seasons. I appreciate that it’s one of the easier “hikes” in the area. The graffiti on the rocks is definitely a downside, it’s deeply disappointing that people choose to deface a gorgeous natural landscape like that.

Avoid this place. Graffiti is everywhere. We found it difficult to enjoy the natural beauty without seeing everybody’s spray paint contributions on the rocks. Too bad, it probably was once a beautiful place

Wonderful hiking experience. 4 boys ages 7 to 13 enjoyed the trails and water front getting close to the quick water then wading into the river above the falls Information signs provided interesting information

Onaping Falls is visually impressive and easy to get to. It confused me because non of the road side signage says 'Onaping Falls'- it gives the name of a gent who painted the falls decades ago. There is an easy to use handicapped trail, an easy to use trail to another viewpoint, and a trail to the bridge that goes over the falls. I saw that some had passed the lookout point/visitor center and had parked close to the falls where they were already at level with the bridge. Free entry, clean restrooms, visitor area was closed when we were there today.

A beautiful waterfall not too far outside of Sudbury. An interesting story to go with it about it having been painted by AY Jackson, students buying the painting and it being stolen. Unfortunately our experience was marred by summer students at the visitors centre who were busy playing cards and didn’t even acknowledge us as we looked in confused to whether the building was one we should go in or not. Glad the students were enjoying their summer job but better training is needed.

Water cascades down rocks. That is all. The walk to the so called falls is so easy, it is more of a stroll from parking area.

I started out on the A Y Jackson visitor center side. Quick easy walk to the viewing platform of the waterfall. This would be ready for anyone that can't bike or tires easily.

If you want the best views and a good hike park down the road at alt parking and walk up the sand hill.

This starts off with bike up the hill to somewhat groomed trail to the Bridge and other viewing platform. I would think most Paul's don't make it here since it is a bit of work.

If you like to hike like I do and enjoy more technical hikes there is also a 2km loop just past the bridge. I ventured Down the rocks to get better views.

I would recommend good shots for this as the rocks can get slippery even on days it has not rained.

Go to the Lookout Point I think it's called AJ lookout 5 minute walk or less and you will see the falls from a distance the first Lookout is stroller-friendly then there's a lot of rocks if you continue

With a broken wrist I wasn't able to do the usual full walk, so we went to the Lookout, new museum and over to the bridge. With the wet summer the cataracts were roaring! The small rock museum is good, but the docents didn't bother to come and see us. As well some overseas visitors didn't know you could take an easy walk the other side of the river. Great parking.

It’s a beautiful place, in google it’s not showing proper route towards falls. To view Onaping falls and lookouts need to reach to A.Y. Jackson Lookout and from there there is a hike trail which leads to falls. Definitely visit this place when you are in Sudbury.
