Cawsand looks like the sort of place that hasn’t changed much over the centuries and is almost picture perfect with its narrow winding streets, chocolate box houses and this little square with a rather perfect pub. Almost perfect in that they keep strictly to their meal times even if you only want a sandwich but there are other option like The Globe around the corner. The beers are local, hand pulled and well kept and its a great place for a drink before pressing onwards.…

The pub is well located on the square and near to the beach. The food wasn't outstanding but was perfectly ok. If you go there and happen to not encounter the landlord then you'll probably think all is fine. However, the landlord is unbelievably and needlessly arrogant, rude and verbally aggressive. I would definitely not recommend this pub…

We'd had a lovely day in Kingsands & Cawsands Swimming and soaking up the sun. We popped in for a cider and a pint of coke. The cider was great The 'coke' from a multi pump wasn't Coca-Cola that's for sure. But it was coke and hit the mark. Our labradors were welcomed everywhere... except the main beach. But that's ok. There is plenty of room at the other beaches. Recommended for a day out or a holiday.…

Lovely pub in a great location. Good friendly service. What I found really strange for a pub that serves hand pulled beer is that 'tasters' are not allowed by order of the management. There was a beer called 'Old Ric' which I've never seen or tried before. Being told I couldn't try it I stuck with Tribute. Very good but would have like the opportunity to try something else. Wouldn't stop me going back, just don't understand the thought process and not trying a drop first. …
