If you like medieval towns then this is it. Fairly compact and amazingly clean and orderly. So many interesting things to see and just take it all in. I would go out of my way to spend a minimum of several hours here.

Narni (the Narnia of CS Lewis' Narnia, and home of Blessed Lucy of Narnia) is a delightful Roman town filled with food, music and architecture.

I visited this little town twice and found very few tourists. The buildings and the narrow streets were just a delight to look at. We had lunch here and the feeling is just wonderful. On top of that, the town claims to be the "Center...More

Narni is a compact & quiet old town, untouched by development and quite void of tourist-oriented businesses. It is near enough to the A1 to make the detour worth the effort. Visitor won't encounter a "wow"; rather, will find quite authentic ambiance.

Absolutely loved Narni, made for a wonderful walk seeing all the medieval architecture. Note that people with mobility issues might find the hills challenging. There are spectacular views to be had all around town if you are willing/able to get there.

Beautiful hill town, with atmospheric winding lanes, an underground Roman cistern and some interesting churches. The Duomo itself is worth a visit, with its elegantly simple 11C nave, held up by what look suspiciously like looted Corinthian Roman columns. There are several crypts to explore...More
