For 60 UK pounds each this was a pleasant day out. There are five or six pools in which to bathe or swim with various degrees of heat and some nice areas to eat although the food choice was relatively restricted. On a boiling hot day outside it was a nice way to relax. To be honest initially I was somewhat unconvinced of the merits of bathing in hot water on an already hot day but it was a pleasant enough experience after all. I’m not a regular visitor to spas and saunas but I enjoyed it!

The spa is gorgeous, authentic and peaceful. The dressing rooms are proper and the staff very helpful. Have tea at the hotel next door in their garden - bliss!

We come to Italy just about every year in June to visit our cousins in and around Tuscany, and this year as a special gift, we were given a gift card for a day's visit and lunch at Bagni di Pisa. If you ever wondered how ancient, wealthy Romans spent part of their days, this is how. The Bagni is essentially a spa but is also associated with the Italian health system, so those with certain conditions can come here to receive treatments. There are several indoor pools, including those warmed by natural thermal mineral waters, a "hot tub," saltwater pool, outdoor pool, steam and sauna, etc., designed in a "Roman baths" motif. In fact, in one of the "quiet" rooms, you can look through part of the floor which has been covered by glass, and view what appears to be original bathing areas that could be thousands of years old. Two weeks earlier, in Rome, we visited a museum that was an excavated site of an old Roman villa. It too, has glass floors for visitors to view the original recently discovered rooms, we which included some similar bathing areas. In any event, the highlight of the day was our lunch in the spa restaurant, and meeting the restaurant manager Mirko. I should say at this point that I've been coming to Italy for more than 35 years, have eaten in many restaurants, and can tell whether someone is genuine or not, and all I can say is, Mirko is our new friend. Yes, he provided great service and the food was terrific, but we also had much in common, including a love for wine, and travel, and more. Meeting Mirko was definitely the highlight of our visit, although the pools and spa services were also top notch. If you drive, as we did, go slow once you get into town. We actually drove past the spa twice before finding it, and then, we had actually pulled into the area for the hotel with which it is associated. All in all, a very good day.

I came here with a couple of girlfriends a few weeks ago for some well-deserved me-time. The spa is amazing, beautiful baths and lots of different options: steam room, sauna, outdoor pool, indoor pools, flotation pools. The staff is friendly and helpful. I also booked a massage with a masseuse called Tania who gave me a wonderful Californian massage. A perfect end to a great day

Well, old Castles have not been constructed for handicapped people..The way the restauration was not done, reminds you of that...:-( Outdoor spa had to be reached via various flies of stairs, no direct connection to the 3 indoor pools. Those pools I tried were all about 37 degree hot and there was no pool to cool down for a moment like any reasonable medical spa wd offer...For people with circulation and heart problems like me this might have ended up in a disaster... had to leave much earlier than planned and i felt very badly for hours after the visit...i even needed medical consultation...very bad idea to put 3 hot pools without even a space in the fresh air, :-( a little outside siiting and walking corner was NOT offered ..the most basic of all 44 spas i visited during the last years all over europe, was missing: a place outside were u cd sit and cool down, not even a cold bath for the feet...:-/ to cool down the overheated body..the water was extremely aggressive, a new bathrope of mine showed early signs of fabric degradation...and to make a frustrating afternoon even worse..the absolute horrible music.a tape with fusion jazz cover versions ambient music being played in a loop, was extremly unnerving...the chichi spa ambiente wd fit better with some italian classical music, but maybe the spa jockey didnt trust the taste of their clients ...
