The pedestrian street in the old city, named after Bernardo Rossellino, the main architect of the area, is a charming street, lined with nice coffee bars and shops selling local products like cheese, salami and excellent wine. It is a very pleasant walk through the...More

Central street of one of the most charming Tuscany towns is really busy but still very charming. Beautiful shops, cozy cafes and artisan shops are in abundance. When you get tired, turn into some lovely narrow old streets with no tourists wandering there. You will...More

Loved walking along this winding main street. The shops and little cafes were beautiful and there were blooming flowers EVERYWHERE. We went back twice because it was so lovely. Don’t miss a chance to wander here.

Corso Rossellino goes through the centre of the pretty, tiny Renaissance town of Pienza. There are shops on both sides of the street and many bars to linger at, some with a rear area with a view of the Val d'Orcia. Lots of the shops...More

We visited Pienza in August and despite it being during the day and in sizzling temperatures, the Corso il Rossellino is narrow enough that there is always shade at some side of it along its route. That makes the visit to the Centro Storico of...More

Seems odd to review a street, but why not? The town is of course, essentially perfect. The street gives way, at about the mood point between the two main gates, to the modestly sized square, a tribute to the very impressive figure who caused it...More
