it is a typical small venetian castle in fair condition. Nice view as it is at the highest point of Palaichora.

an easy walk from anywhere in town; bring your camera; the views are worthwhile. we're here early April, and the weather is nice, and NO crowds; wonderful !

To see the city you are there for the first time I always choose places from where you can see where you are. The structure of the city of Paleochora is of the human scale and visiting the Venetian castle is giving a great opportunity...More

Easy to walk up, you can watch both, sunset and sunrise... recommend to have a drink in Castro bar and enjoy colorful sunset

An easy climb up the the fortress gives you stunning views over the town and the bay - a must during your visit to Paleochora.

Not much left of the castle but worth the short climb up the steps behind the church for the views back over the rooftops and the sea.
