If you have a half day to kill around Gulu, it is a good place to visit. You will learn a history how arabic people collected slaves here. There was only one guide, and do not expect of money change.

When in Gulu, it is a must go place. It is a rich historical site with very good and amazing people. Uganda is en-dowered richly no wonder it was named the Pearl of Africa. Will definitely visit again with my family.

If the tourism industry preserves such info it will bolster the industry. I like the way ministry of tourism is approaching it with tulambule.

The fort itself is worth a visit, when you´re in Gulu anyway. Approx. 40min- 1 hours’ drive from the city it´s situated in a nice rural area and local guides will show you around (10.000 UGX/Person). The stories of the previous slave trading post are...More
