The visitors center is not a dramatic experience (audio guide),however, the chance to get a "Rotation Sushi" of chocolates + chocolate fountain is a good reason for chocolate lovers. Staff were very friendly. Don't skip the chocolate moulding (book in advance). This option is lots...More

This was not what was expected! Please don't think you'll get a "factory tour" like we did. Made the trip from Lucerne about 1-1/2 hours with train plus bus. But a paradise for kids and chocolate lovers with the "all you eat" sampling.

We enjoyed it. The tour was informative. It was more audio visual with multiple stations you walk to with headphones on many languages. It was very well done. The conveyor belt of free chocolate at the end was good. Some of the interactive stations were...More

There's no lakes of chocolate, or infinite gob stoppers, just an audio tour and then some (very tasty!) free chocolate. The audio tour explains how chocolate is made, but it's just watching TV screens. Once complete, the downstairs part has a 'Yo Sushi' style conveyor...More

I initially thought that they might have 10 to 20 varieties but was very surprised ( in a good way) when we found the vast variety. I couldn't even finish tasting before I couldn't eat anymore. It's a must visit!

The staff don't communicate and don't seem to know what they're doing. I don't speak much German and wanted to do the tour. Bought my ticket and was directed to the wrong area. The lady checking tickets there acted like she'd never seen a ticket...More

Went there with my family forthechocolatw tour. It's very multimidia and interactive, with plenty of chocolate for everyone to try at the end. The souvenir store is also very nice!

I felt like a small child in this tour through the Freij chocolate factory. To be honest I do not like these chocolates best, as they are too sweet for me. But the tour itself was fun. Dressing up as a praliné. Tasting all the...More

Audio tour with multiple languages is followed by an interactive area with tasting, games and so on. Not too big so probably spend max 2 hours there. Certainly nice to do with kids also.

Chocolat Frey is a good activity to do with kids. It doesn't take too long, even if you sign up (online in advance recommended) for the chocolate making course, it won't take you more than approximately 2.5 hours. The chocolate making was the best in...More
