Start from Vesterås. Follow the relatively flat farm track from the buildings for approx. 10 mins. Then head up to the right - there is a path that climbs steadily until it reaches Løsta at approx. 500 m above sea level. There is a fine view of the fjord, Grande and Møllsbygda (Ørnevegen).

I had read about this place on the Internet, and I had high expectations. I was not disappointed. The road itself to get to the place was breathtaking, and once we got there we had an even more amazing view over the valley far below....More

This hike up to Losta point is serious and the trail had exposed tree roots and water flow over stone in parts. Its about 2.5km in length and the elevation is 500m over sealevel. From the trailhead it may only be a 400m vertical. It...More

The viewpoint has some beautiful views over the Fjord but be aware that the climb up to it involves walking through a farm, with the appropriate quantities of animal manure and also some clambering over trees and rocks so good footwear is essential. It's worth...More

We visited Geiranger as part of our cruise trip, so we had limited hours before getting on the ship again to leave. So after we walked around, we decided to take the hike which promised to have some cool views. The hike itself wasn't really...More

Along the way the trail gets very rocky but why go on a hike of your not up for a challenge! We loved finding our way and passing some Lama's. But all the hard work is worth it! Amazing views at the end of the...More

We did both trails. The first could have been enough, the extra km doesn't add much to the view. Over all the view was amazing. One thing that was different from other locations in Norway was that the view point had a fence. The trail...More

The view of Geirangerfjord is beautiful at the end, but there are so many other places one can view it. The path itself wound through a sheep field and was deeply rutted and muddy even though it hadn't rained much. My kids liked petting the...More

Though it was drizzling when we started our walk it did not put us off. We walked for 3/4 hour up to the viewing area. I would say you need good walking shoes and to have reasonable fitness to enjoy this walk. Initially, we passed...More

Great viewpoint at the end. Fairly easy 45-minute hike to the viewpoint. A bonus is that the hiking occurs partly through a goat farm so there's a possibility of seeing some farm animals. Afterwards we enjoyed a snack at the Vesterås cafe on their terrace....More
