We went for a great walk using the green route. What a nice walk, but be aware of the fact that it isn't a easy walk when you walk with an two year old. It's worth the walk though

Nice easy hike to this not famous waterfall, small but really scenografic. The parking is just in front of a nice restaurant.

The hike from Westeras Gard to these falls comprises a constant upward grade along a well-marked trail of stepping stones and dirt paths. So it's a medium difficulty hike not because of anything challenging except the constant increase in elevation. But at the end, the...More

About an hour climb on well maintained trail with stepping stones all along. Two possibilities- harder short cut behind Vesteras restaurant or easier up by the first cabin of Vesters farm. The ability to safely get behind the waterfall for amazing photos is breath taking.

About 5km uphill hike from Union hotel with outstanding fjord views along the way takes you to an unforgettable spot: raging waterfall with a staircase that gets you right behind the falls. Out of many great experiences in this area, this will be one of...More

On our climb up from the village we were mostly only able to see the mist but occasional glimpses of snow, rivers and mountains suggest some good views on the walk up to Storseterfossen. The walk is pretty well signposted but mud, wet rock and...More

My wife and I hiked this trail from Vesterås Gard, and had a great time. The drive up to the farm from our hotel near the cruise terminal was short but scenic as we climbed. It was neat having to open the gates to keep...More

We walked from our hotel (Hotel Union in Geiranger) up to the cafe at the half-way point but you can drive to this point and leave your car. However, this stretch of the walk is very pretty through trees and over streams. The second stretch...More

I went here with my wife and 1year old daughter. There are two routes up, we took the easy (green) route up and medium (blue) route down. With a 1 year old, or even with any young child, I would recommend the easy route both...More

We decided to do the walk from the quay all the way on foot. It was a much longer trek than we had thought, but was well worth it when you arrive at the waterfall. At first we just sat above the waterfall in awe,...More

We did this modest hike in July & there was no snow at all. The waterfall isn't at a particularly high level so I can't imagine this being a problem at the end of May either. The path is a good one so rain shouldn't be a... More

We took a tour bus to the farm, and then walked up from the base of the farm. Over an hour, all uphill from that point. I would not recommend walking from the pier, and instead take a taxi/bus to the farm. You can pick up... More
