Anghiari is overlooked by most travel guides for the obvious reason that there are no great sights to be seen here. What there is is a friendly community, several decent bars and restos and a view down the longest, straightest road (towards Sansepolcro) that you have ever seen. Worth a stopover if not a stayover.

We were passing through Anghiari and decided to stop as it looked really pretty and worthy of a leg stretch. It didn't disappoint despite its small size. There are some lovely lived in streets in the old town to explore and it offers superb views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. Definitely worth an hour if passing through.

Recommend visiting this small corner of heaven on earth, this little town is exactly what you'd except from Tuscany: Unreal food, historic walls, breathtaking churches, friendly people.

After enjoying coffee in the cafe we wandered all over the old town, rich in very steep narrow streets (some with steps) & picturesque roofline views. The battlements are lovely and easy to walk on, & you will find few people to spoil your photographs! You can probably wander all the streets in the old part of the town in a morning, I don't think we missed any. Occasional plaques with history info are good, pretty displays of flowers in pots, sweet cats sunning themselves on warm stones. It is a lovely place.

This is not a touristy destination, and we were thrilled with that. It wasn't crowded, there was easy parking, and plenty of shops to wander in and out of. If you're tired of the touristy areas, visit Anghiari. It's lovely!

An authentic Tuscan hill town. Put this town on your list when visiting Tuscany. You will not be disappointed. It’s an easy bus ride from Arezzo.

Wonderful small family run pizza in the central plaza of Agghiari. Wonderful selection....or made to order. Can sit outside on the plaza and enjoy your food and drinks

This is a great little Tuscan village. It is beautiful, not many tourists (a bit off the beaten track). You could spend a couple of days or a couple of hours exploring it...depending on how much time you want to spend taking in the view, checking out the museums, etc.
