Best bakery in Ostuni
Jul 2018 • Family
The staff here are amazing; bakers, translators, comediens,...
We bought bread, pastries and biscuits here every day of our holiday despite it being over 30 minutes walk away. We were made to feel welcome despite not speaking Italian and the staff were very patient. I would particularly recommend the pizza slices but everything was freshly baked.

We arrived right during the siesta time. Till the owners (I guess) were there and invited us in. They showed us around and give taste of all interesting creations.

Delicious

I went in for bread and I came out with half of the store. They have a bread thin as paper, seasoned with rosemary or olives, that is to die for. And you can leave with out the almond cookies! Those are a little expensive but worth every Euro. Made out of ground almonds and lemon. Fantastic. The owner's name was Paolo such a nice day.

If you happen to be visiting Ostuni take time to visit Forno 31. Take a step back into the past and enjoy the bakery with its enormous ovens, the smell wafting from them and the taste of the fragrant products on display. The taralli are to die for and also the other goodies are just wonderful. Everything we tried was exceptional.

From the bread, focacce, or anything else, top quality. Moreover, nice people too, so worth to keep them running by paying a visit and getting something good for you!

Stumbled across Forno 31 by chance. Went back a couple of times to buy bread and pastries for breakfast. We spoke no Italian but the staff were so friendly and we got what we wanted by the tried and tested method of sign language! We even got a some free samples!
The Forno is located in an area with really small streets, so don't be tempted to bring your rented 4x4 - leave it in a big street and walk.

We went here to buy the delicious bread and amandel cookies. They were just great. The owner showed us the oven and the olive tree twigs he warms the oven with. Very nice authentic place!

Amazing
Best bread I have ever tasted with a huge selection baked with olive branches in the ovens to the rear of the shop. Plenty of small baked goods for presents. A visit early in the morning allows you observe local colour.
