We spent a few hours here on our way to Matera. We were sorry we did not spend a night here.
The winding streets between the white buildings and small shops selling local fare were charming. We'll be back!
Hike up the hill to the archeological museum and the Cathedral. Definitely worth it, though disregard the old lady in the church's suggestions for a cafe. The area is lovely. Have lunch at a local pizzeria, you can't really go wrong.

Definitely worth an excursion, needs a good half day to experience the winding streets , interesting buildings a the wonderful views from the ramparts.
