There are a lot of nice refurbished piers at Germany's Baltic Sea Coast. According to the old wisdom that nothing is superfluous - and if it serves only as a particularly bad example, then this bridge: pure commerce in an ugly steel ambience. No style,...More

When near you should not miss the chance to walk this pier on a sunny day. If you stay on the right side of the windbreakers, it is very pleasant even in February. The shops half way are nice.

Nice place to visit when in Herringsdorf. Many places to eat, some good shops at the beginning of promenade with souvenirs.

My boyfriend walked many footsteps on the Seebrücke, and it's a windy experience. There is an Italian restaurant at the end of the pier that serves food indoors and out, and in the middle are shops selling scarves, beach clothing, etc. etc. This can be...More

This is the best place to get a good view of the coast, take some pictures, have a drink or meal and buy some souvenirs or even clothing. Free, safe, clean, well-organized but windy and often crowded.

its a mix of commercial and enjoyable site. you do have a chance for an ice cream and a coffee as well as just stroll over the bridge

One of the longest piers in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and one of the three piers in the towns called "Kaiserbäder".

Heringsdorf is on the Baltic, so the water is on the coolish/coldish side, and not very salty. Not much influx of seawater from the North Sea, and lots of freshwater from the continent.

Long and nice pire. Glass wall divides pire and gives protection against wind. Nice Italy restaurant at the end of the pire. Excellent place for evening walk.

For some reason, Germans think Heringsdorf is posh. It's not. It's tacky, overcrowded and loud. A bit like Southend. The long drive up from the mainland is justified by nothing at all.
