On the "Romantische Straße" route, quite near Neuschwanstein, don't miss out this exceptional church. Splendid example of the over lavish Rococo style, it's more than worth the short detour. Good "anchoring facilities" with parking space, restaurant etc. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful baroque church in the middle of nowhere (tho it is well signed and easy to find). We came at around 6 on a Saturday evening - they happened to be having a concert so we were treated to a magical hour...More

Make it a point to make a 15-20 min stop to see the interior of this "Church of the Meadow." Drivers beware, it may be slightly difficult to find! Parking is paid, which surprised us, and there's quite a little touristy area developing outside of...More

A bit remote from the tourist major site, the church is with to visit. It is in an extremely good condition and the painting and decoration are marvelous.Free entrance and free parking facilities nearby.

One admires everything in this barocque church which belongs to top places to be visited in the south of Bavaria even if it is on a side road

Very impressive church that is certainly worth a detour to visit. It's free to enter, though the EUR2 parking fee serves as a de facto entry fee.

It's off the beaten path, but so worth the trip. It's a very pleasant Bavarian countryside drive to get there and the church is gorgeous. The outside doesn't rival the great cathedrals of Europe, but the variety and quality of craftsmanship and artistry inside is...More

It's just crazy how elaborately beautiful this church is, particularly since it is basically in the middle of nowhere. Possibly the most beautiful church I have ever seen. Very interesting history too. Definitely worth a short visit if you are in the area!

I took my US roommates there 25 years ago and my children last year (ages 10 and 12). It is an amazing experience. The interior is absolutely breathtaking.

Like a few others, I too had rented a car for the sole purpose of being able to take side trips like this during our planned stops (In this case our drive from Fussen to Salzburg). With that said, I do believe that there is... More
