Lovely path between Bruges and Damme. The path has no cars and goes along the canal - in just a short ride you see some lovely countryside and then Damme.

This is an easy and relaxing bicycle ride, through beautiful countryside, it's possible to cycle on both sides of the canal, so it makes for a good variety on the way back

This route takes you via the countryside into Damme an ancient town approx 7 miles from Bruges. Enjoy the fields and canals and end with a great diner in one of the many respected restaurants.

We walked the trail 2km from Damme to an excellent restaurant named Siphon and even in the mist we enjoyed the scenery immensely. It made the food just that more delicious. You'll pass such beautiful countryside its absolutely worth it whether by bicycle or on foot.

Gentle, almost entirely flat bike ride from Bruges to Damme. Takes about 30-45 mins depending on your speed. Great scenery (even on a grey day!), lots of windmills and nature / wildlife!

We rode from Brugge to Damme and beyond. Beautiful sunny day. Bike paths everywhere. We stopped in Damme for a coffee (don’t go to Markt12) and then came back for lunch. Highly recommend this activity. Amazing bike paths. Very easy riding. A real treat on a beautiful day!

We have never cycled along it, but on each of our trips to Bruges, we have walked along, and sometimes back, to Damme for lunch.

It is on the flat and you get plenty to see. As well as trees and fields, you have the canal, paddle steamer, many people fishing. I don't tend to come across many other people walking, mainly many cyclists. Half way along you can walk through the trees by the canal, whilst the cycle path runs just below.

Well it keeps us fit enough to enjoy a nice lunch in Damme. It only takes about an hour to walk to Damme from the outskirts of Bruges.

We rented bikes at De Ketting in Bruges (only 6E per day) and biked to Damme. It was a lovely path and straight shot along the canal from Bruges to Damme (there is absolutely no way you could get lost, even without a map, and there is no need for a tour). It is flat the entire way, an easy trip even if you aren't accustomed to biking. In Damme, we found a small shop and bought a few beers and sodas for the kids. Just past the church, we took the path along the other side of the canal. It was shaded with lovely trees and we found a bench to enjoy our beverages before biking back on the opposite side of the canal. A must do if you are in Bruges for 2 or more days!

One of my favorite parts of my whole vacation. Rented a bike for a day for 10 Euros in Bruges, got a free map and my wife and I rode around for a good 5 hours. Beautiful scenery while biking on flat paved bike trails beside a canal. Damme is close and is a good place to grab lunch before heading off on more trails.
