Very nice lovely restored houses forming a village in Colonial style; houses provide little shops with souvenirs and hand-crafted goods and also a lovely cafe/restaurant

Forgotten and neglected since 2007 but LIFE is being RESTORED! It will be excellent once the garden and the house is all complete with the old restored furniture, the gramophone, the labour cottages and the little workshops showing the handcrafted objects of yesterday including "Schiffbau"...More

The Craft Village was interesting mostly for the plantation houses used but hard to find. The crafts weren't all that great. The tourist map made it look like it was on a side road but was actually on the main road.

Most shops are closed during the weekend. Some shops have decent souvenirs. Best shop is the one selling replicas sail boats. They are expensive but worth every penny because of the details in the ships and quality of workmanship. That particular shop is closed in...More

We went on Easter Sunday and even then three shops were open all offering different and local things, much cheaper than the duty free shops (5 times the price). We bought a couple of things. Easy to find off the the East Coast road north...More

It was worth a short stop and see, but not overly impressed by the inventory here. The stop did result in a few photo opportunities , so it was worth a brief visit.

Unlike other reviewers, we liked the place. The colonial house in the center of the small craft village is simple but has character. The little shops are really charming - We bought a few souvenirs and a hand-made ship from a local craftsman which is...More

The so called Craft Village is in reality made of a small number of huts with a very limited offer of crafts with no interest or originality. The 'museum' is an old colonial house with some furniture and photos. It is free but not well...More
